A sovereign wealth fund will be interested as long as the premier league is throwing off cash. Yes they may look at the long term but they still have to generate more wealth, therefore I cannot see any excessive expenditure as per Manchester City. It isn’t a plaything.
Not asking for Manchester City but a club that tries to develop its academy and build its commercial revenue with some marketing ambition.

In the fullness of time that model will grow the club and build for a better football team.

You fell into the “they demand success” trap.

Recommend one please, this is where Newcastle discussion board web search took me.

I like to indulge the right hand side of my brain with creative writing.

Some of these posts are not just thrown together it takes a certain imagination.

I deliberately never resort to profanity or petty slurs but if my writing offends I will happily risks your recommendation.

Absolutely full of shit, that search does not have a link to this board for a few pages, and that link is only because you wrote it on this thread. Sad sad “man”

If you can do a web search in 2010 then your audit would be correct.

Well you don’t achieve any of that shrinking a cost base, stifling investment and being relegated twice. I know that for sure as I witnessed it.

You are worthy bowler but I still feel I’m knocking boundaries around the ground here.

Ashley relegated the mags twice but had saleable assets and got you back into the top flight. It’s exactly how the Saudis will proceed.

Pointed out to him weeks ago, claimed he joined this board to "discuss Newcastle" but signed up as we were heading inexorably towards the third division. A happy coincidence, no doubt. Oh and pretended to be a Sunderland fan until he was outed. Tragic.

OK, thanks. Your conviction in your statements leads me to think you have seen the business plan so I will not argue and choose to watch what happens.

Que sera sera.

I used to be Fulwell 87. Master of disguise.

I did go quiet in the Mid 2010’s when the full horror of Mike Ashley was apparent.

I guess I had no will to discuss the Sports Direct Arena or why you lot had beaten us. That would really have hurt my feelings.

The response was always going to be a dish served cold.

Ending the rivalry on one page, laughing at the suggestion of anyone "demanding success" on the next.

I suppose you can always wave the marketing budget in our faces. The joys of being a football fan, eh?
