Not sure how I feel about it now circumstances have significantly changed. Still won’t be going myself but not sure it would be good for the survival of the game if it doesn’t go ahead next year either or flops

Are the figures for Dec 2019 out yet? They always run low before getting replenished by an Ashes WC... (if that’s post those then it’s fair comment!)
Yes, reserves currently at £13m from £8m. I take it you're implying that it wouldn't be fair comment if the loss had only been circa £50m.

No, just checking that it includes the benefit of the Ashes and WC. Judging him on the position pre that year wouldn’t be fair. £50m not good!
I think the ICC take all finances from WC with grounds getting staging fees. India and Australia are the most lucrative series which is why finances should be judged on a 5 year cycle. Fact is reserves have dipped by £50m-£60m during Graves term in office. I doubt if the £ tens of millions spent mispromoting the Hundred are included in any published accounts as yet.

I’m absolutely not denying he’s a bellend. But can you explain why dead cash I’m reserves is a barometer of achievement?

Reserves aren't dead cash they're dormant cash to cover for unforseen circumstances as we're in at present. If such reserves are allowed to diminish under your watch without any perceivable end product then you're culpable of negligent management imo. Conversely building a reserve stockpile is an indicator of prudent management. I wasn't aware that I implied what you're stating in your 2nd sentence.

I get all of that. But then you look at cash reserves at Fifa and the counter argument exists

I'm speechless
I'd love to see the figures and info into how ticket sales are mainly by under 40s taking kids. Considering you don't put your age on any ticket site.

The fact that the twitter account The Hundred (@thehundred) | Twitter has less followers than an anti hundred account Oppose The Hundred (@opposethe100) | Twitter

Says to me the younger audience couldn't give a fuck

But mainly how can he say with a straight face we have to keep ploughing on with the hundred if cricket is making that sort of loss.

Pretty much that.

Anyone who is young and has an interest in Cricket will most likely be attending Blast games on a regular basis. The Hundred will just cause that part of the audience to be stretched out over more games instead of building on it.

Is there anyone out there who still thinks the Hundred was a good idea?
Aside from Harrison and Graves, obviously.

Hugh Morris, Glamorgan CEO, is another Graves puppet. Has to be with Glamorgan an International and Hundred venue. Hotbed of cricket Wales, of course. Far better then Somerset:?:

Bit of a flawed argument there though.

Judge the kids’ interest in 2 years, not now on a sport that’s had 7 hours of live coverage in 15 years. No logic anywhere would have them drawn in to cricket at this point.
