@marathon9
Did you watch the film Northern Soul ?
It was on the telly last week sometime, though it was on in the early hours.
Not a bad film tbh, with some canny tunes. 👍

Prior to the release the director Elaine Constantine put together a promo thing about northern night across the UK on a certain weekend . Hartlepool Northern Soul club sent a short video in and it made it onto the promo - can find the buggers now though . HNSC still going strong every month - 2nd Friday , at the Supporters in Duke Street

NS and the March of The Mods, are doing very well in Hartlepool, and have regular fundraising nights and meets, every so often.
My mate Les W (a well known dj in the town) is a prominent figure, within the Mods fundraising nights/weekends.
I know a lot of the lads from the Supporters club, who are also into the March of the Mods, meet ups.
yes mate.... That was set in early 70s ... I went lates 70s early 80s... Much the same though... Then I got into new romantic and raves...
Good man.
I thought you'd have seen the film.
I was just a bit too young at the time of NS, but I like the music and would've loved to have been at the Wigan Casino, and to be a part of that culture, back in the day.

His mam and Dad, worked with my Mam, at Prices (John Colliers)
I used to drink with and hang around with Les, many years ago, when we drank in the Chester Hotel, in the early 80's.
