I'm not knocking it.
I just never got into it. I think some of the moves are amazing, but you've got to be a gymnast or contortionist to pull off some of those moves.

Went to the casino from 1974 when I was 16, was there for the first anniversary . Had quite a time of it one way and another.

I never really either.. But it was a passage to better things.. It was a weekend away for us southerners and as I say got into my running life by default...
Seem to remember a quite big Cambridge crew coming up regular but can't remember any names now.

I suppose if I'd been.a bit older, I might have got into it.
I was born in 1963, and Northern Soul was just a bit before my time.
They have hugely popular Northern Soul/Mod nights in Hartlepool, every now and then.

Used to come up on coach from place called leigh park near pompey... Thought we were only southern accents... But Cambridge is well north of us... Loved the swimming pool early Sunday morning before trip south.

If you were into Northern Soul early seventies you’d have been forty odd when the rave scene got going?

Aye went to the baths the odd time, mainly trying to avoid getting rolled by the big black lads in the beachcomber was the first order and then top up and on to an all dayer in Manchester or somewhere.

I actually loved Glam Rock in the early to mid 70's (the music not the clobber) and when that died out in the mid 70's, I was massively into the Punk scene when I was 15.

The sabre dance... By the royal philimonic orchestra got me into music in 1975.. Weird I know.. But that started my music journey listen to it some time... It's totally inspiring piece of music... Could easily be made into a dance anthem...
