Last year was a poor year despite what 6 Music will tell us. This year is shaping up to be a good one - best for me so far - Cornershop, Waxahatchee, Caribou, Baxter Dury. Looking forward to Jason Isbell, the Killers, the XX, Haim.
I used to like him. Until he started to wear that shit suit with the musical notes on it

It's entirely possible that the Rufus Wainwright album isn't out until July. That's what both Amazon and Apple are saying.
I think it's half decent. I like RVG a lot and the last Peter Oren album was exceptionally good. There's a few others I'll give a listen to based on reviews. All depends on whether things actually get released. A lot of albums are getting pushed back - Asian Dub Foundation's new album is reviewed in the new Uncut but seems to be down for a mid-September release. Rufus, Braids and LA Priest from this week's metacritic list all look to have been moved. The new Psychedelic Furs album, which should have been out next week, looks like it's now out on July 31st.
