Nope, those days are gone.

The people that did change were mostly just lads who likes football and would go to both games but then chose the mags due to their success, my dad used to go to both games until he eventually saw the light and chose us ;)
If you are talking early 90s I don't know anyone who watched both teams back then
Nope. Obviously there will be some bairns who may choose Newcastle. That will be from non attending / non supporting families though so probably not lost to Sunderland. More likely LFC / MCFC lose a few quid from shirt sales.
Bear in mind that if this happens the only change in the short term is we may be better prepared to compete with the mid-level teams (say10th-7th) and have a better shout in the Cups.
The idea that we can consistently challenge the top 6, think about top 4, or even having a glimmer of being a genuine danger of winning the league is 10 years away.... at least.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I was reading up on bin Salman. He isn't worth £260bn, he is worth £7bn. The fund and the Saudi royal family are £260bn. He is a despot. Killing journalists, getting involved in the US election, bombing Yemen and starting a war, the blockade on Qatar and hacking Jeff Bezos accounts. It's like Vladimir Putin buying a club. And we think Tory Boy Charlie is a tosspot!
Good luck to them. Wish it was having an exciting takeover, not by these like.

Thanks to Stewart Donald we haven't, useless fucker.
This is what pisses me off. We had MSD Capital ready to buy in. Michael S. Dell's personal wealth is £25m alone. Even if the other 3 were running things we'd be owned by 3 billionaires with Dell as a passive investor. Donald and Methven blew it!

The Suadi PIF is 260bn, but the Saudi royal family is collectively worth about 1.7 trillion dollars.
Richest of those is 18bn.

How did chuckle bros blew it

You think we will challenge sooner i assume sir?
Hope you are right.
I don't think you will challenge at all. It's impossible now with financial fairplay. You might have a few good seasons and maybe get close to the top 6 but you won't challenge fortge title I think you know this anyway

Most probably not. That is why i said 10 years at least. If we are managed correctly we may well do so. LFC and City are miles ahead at the moment however that can change. As we know there are ways around FFP. Fines don't work.

Consistently being top 8 and being competitive in the Cups will more than suffice for me. In 10 years there may well be a European break away which we would not be part of.

I honestly don't see how you can see 10 years into the future, you have no idea how committed they are to the club just yet. 2 years is a long time in football never mind 10

Obviously i can't see the future. It is my opinion on what might happen. I think you know this already though.

I just don't see how you can have that opinion, give financial fair play has thrown a spanner in the works of a man city type takeover. I don't think this is a man city type takeover , more like a wolves one. Wolves are probably 3 seasons in front of you, can't see them winning the title or challenging in 7 years

If they do get as big as man city etc then a lot of kids over the next n umber of years will be following them ...... Hopefully its just another one of big mikes plans to raise a bit cash
