That was lazy jouranlism - it's simply the net asset value from the last accounts of the companies he owns. It ignores the fact that valuations normally exceed net assets (particularly in businesses like insurance broking and leasing), property, and any cash from profits of the sale of former businesses. The latter alone will be the main source, as the family made a substantial amount selling what became Hastings Direct.

I think it will be worse. Football is much bigger now.

Champions League Premier league are much more hyped.

You were awful in the champions League in the 90s top 4 basically guarantees champions League semis now

Sunderland supporters slag Donald off for being skint in one breath & for blowing money on Grigg in the next. Vastly different amounts of money, but both thought they were buying guaranteed success. Ours blew up in our face.

Imagine a club spending what you did this year in the Championship & this shitstorm hitting us? Could loose vast amounts & it’s not even down to player’s performance

The types of deal that has just seen man city kicked out of the champions league for two years. The Saudi Fund no doubt has lots of money but how much of it they want to waste throwing at a football club is a matter for debate. Ashley has billions but he was more sensible that to pump good after bad into it.
