So without reading all this bed wetting, realistically will they be able to get round ffp, which seems to be getting taken more and more seriously each year?

he is desperate to sell..he doesnt really want to be here...but no one wants league oe clubs with large wage bills..

At premier League level without a doubt

At uefa level it will depend how they record their sponsorship.

For example announcing a kit sponsor worth more than Real Madrid would raise immediate suspicion.

to make a profit...thats why business people buy businesses..ot to give money away..
the ruebens have been clear for a long time they want to own trophy assets because they have lots of cash but arent as wqell netwroekd as they should be..owning a stake ina premeir legaue club allows them to network with other very rich people..ad access those deals.
thats why the west ham guys own west ham, and before that birmingham..they said thats how you make moey from a club..the contacts you make and the doors it opens up.

the saudis are doing it for reputation laundering..as long as ewcastle are in the premer league its good for their rep. why spend more tha they have to?

Can't see that. There are too many legal pitfalls for that to happen. Bristol City's plans to move just down the road to the Ashton park and ride got scuppered when local residents got the land declared a town green. In legal terms the town moor already is one, and that gives it the same status as green belt. I'd be looking at sites on brownfield land, maybe near the old Stella power station. That would also give the Skunks the emotional tie of "gannin' alang the Scotswood Road" to get there.

I’d imagine so, over inflated sponsorship deals and the like, don’t think Saudis are buying them to just make up the numbers. I remember when John Hall was hoying money about up there and we were shite, it was awful, it will be worse this time

Parachute payments arent traditional revenue. It wasnt being factored by CM in stid when he discusses finances.

The club will probably break even based on no parachute payments.

So again you are wrong about nobody wanting to buy a club with a high wage bill especially when the club covers those costs. Especially when players like Watmore on 20k per week will be leaving in the summer

But for Newcastle to compete they will need to over inflate those deals by 200m+ a year which won't be possible.

I don’t think it’ll be worse this time. Last time had a sense of belonging. It was local with Hall / Shepherd and the Keegan factor will not be replicated. This will be rich Arabs who people may not relate to.
naturally I’ll change my mind as soon as a trophy arrives !!
