For me it was a burger outside the SOL from one of those vans near the ket shop.

Massive bun with a tiny slice of burger that had the smell of wet dog and tasted minging.

Shame cos they'd knocked 50p off the pre-match price.

Any other bad experiences?

Scotch pie from Gretna, pre season friendly with Shields a few year ago. Tasted okay at the time, then the rumbling and stomach cramps started on the A69 on the way back.

Fuck me....

Mince pie at an extremely cold Boundary Park back in the 70’s , bit into the warm outside to find it still frozen in the middle.

Minging.

I recall around 93 we had a home game on a Tuesday following another home game the previous Saturday.

I had a cheese and onion pasty from inside the ground that made me sick on the way home and for the next 48 hours I had a delightful bout of sickness and diarrhoea which I could only attribute to the pasty.

Best food would have to be at Norwich. Went there in Reid’s second promotion season midweek and the food was class.

Had a burger from a van outside Fratton Park then had the shits that evening, so probably that one. I don't think it was anything to do with the large quantities of HSB I had after the match.

worst, away at derby early 90s, butcher was boss, did his crowd thing at end cos we won

marco played for them

food was from the wayfarers cafe near ground
soggy chips, the most low quality sausage in the history of mankind
they also had some pirate version of taito world cup 90 footy game, first game played ok but when you got to next round it said "2nst game" and "3st game" so obviously dodgy

best was a fish n chip cafe in grimsby early 90s, and loved little chef rip off feasts at my dads expense

A rancid & inedible plate of grease laden "food" from a cafe in Algeciras, when I was over there for a pre season friendly.

Has to be a meat potato pie from Roker Park. You just new it would either be frozen in the middle or molten hot. Trouble was after a few pints in the Victory club and a good perving of the strippers the pies would catch you out every time

Does anywhere havd pre match strippers any more? I remember the god awful bars in the town 10-15 years back that would pull a big blind down in front of the window whenever they had them on

I remember watching the pre match rippers in the Barbary Coast, years ago.
It was f***ing desperate.
The audience were that bored, they started hoying a load of beer mats and ashtrays at the stripper
