Played 15 holes at Houghton today. First ever eagle after holing my second shot on the first. 31 points in total so pretty pleased as didn't feel I played that well.

Had to cancel next months trip to Lockerbie / Silloth and Hexham due to the ongoing situation.
Now hoping to get it done in mid October.
The courses and hotel have been brilliant tbf in changing things around
Hoped to get out last Sunday but it was -5 so ditched it, by the afternoon whole country quarantined so Christ knows when I'll be out again

Whitburn still open so will be playing tomorrow

Thankfully the course is open where I am, no flag lifting, rakes have been removed and tee-times moved from every 10 minutes to 15. Just wish they would let you walk the course. Still, I'll be out tomorrow for 18 and more planned for next week weather permitting.

Surely using carts is a transmission risk that should be avoided by walking?

Heading out for a quick 9 this afternoon, been a while since I've actually played, but managed quite a bit of practice and seen my short game improve I think. Loads of tee times available so it looks like it's getting quiet despite the course staying open.

It is and the sooner they sort it the better, I'd be happy if they did it. However where we play we have long walks between holes, most as long as walking a long par 4/5 (between 7 holes in all), we are not on a small parcel of land but rather well spread out. f***ing Yanks and there carts

Best option would and may come down to one man to a cart. Just waiting on what state government suggest.

They’ve banned the use of them at South Shields for this very reason.

Played 18 this morning and it was pretty quiet, still a fair few on the course but nothing like a usual Saturday morning.

The time sheet for tomorrow where I play was much quieter than normal when it went live a week ago then as other plans for Mothers Day have been removed as viable the sheet has gradually filled up over the week.
