Biggest musical regrets?

Waiting my whole life to see Bruce Spingsteen, and when he shows up on my doorstep I get that pissed along with the old man to remember a thing.

I’m blaming @Ghandi Floss for this, and I know my mam does for getting the old man in the state he was.

I did the same thing with Neil Young, spent all afternoon drinking pints of American IPA at something like 9 percent. I'm blaming my marra Steve who had already started on it when I arrived in the pub

Lonnie Doneghan. Died a couple of days before the Newcastle gig I was taking my dad to.
I also regret not going to gigs unless I’m absolutely gattered these days as I generally can’t remember the show.

A couple of years ago we were in Osbourne's in Durham one Saturday afternoon and naturally I'd hijacked the jukebox as soon as we got there. I had this fat wife absolutely raging as all 12 minutes of The End by The Doors was playing out. "What the hell's this shit. This is a disgrace this like. Who the fuck's put this on." The pig faced f***ing bitch. I was pissing mesell laughing at her by the time When The Music's Over came on next.

Two songs, 22 minutes, on irate fat bitch - got me money's worth there like.

I had free tickets for Bryan Ferry when I was about 14. I went to the school disco instead as there was probably some lad I was interested in. I gave them to my sister who said he was boring. 🙄

Jam in 79-80.

Saw them in 82 but SS was their best album.

Savile Row rooftop in Jan 69 would have been a blast.

When I first saw him in Cardiff in 2007 I barely had a drink 'cos I wanted to make sure I saw him and took it all in, thinking that may be my first and last chance to see him. It helped that one of the lads had drove down and we had to then drive on to our digs somewhere in Gloucestershire straight after.

What tempered me towards this attitude was a trip to Milton Keynes to see Oasis a couple of years later, where I got so wrecked I had to taken back to the digs before they even got on stage. I later heard Don't Look Back in Anger through the window.

I saw the Fall a few years ago and thought they/it was shit
My mate kept asking me if I wanted to go whenever they played up here. Must've been about five year on the bounce I said no. At least he's stopped asking now.

Not a big band by any means but I went with a mate to see the Estrons a few year ago. Think they only had a few EPs worth of songs so it wasn't a long set, but the album they released a couple of month later was topper. We were away when they came back the next year so couldn't go, then they broke up after announcing a tour for the year after that. I was pretty disappointed when I saw they were no more.

Could have seen Soundgarden a couple of times but assumed I've get another more convenient opportunity.

Didn't bother going to see Jetplane Landing in 2004 as it was the day after a-level stand-down and I was hungover. Left it too late to get tickets when they came back in 2013.

Would have loved to have seen Beastie Boys but don't remember it ever being a real possibility.
actually seeing Elbow. Cost me a fortune and they were shit

And on this note, getting the timings wrong at Leeds, turning up early for the Streets and having to watch Feeder.

I’ve stopped going to gigs these day, a few pints with the lads on a Friday results in me forgetting hours, a full day on it and going to a gig is pointless.

My last gig was Noel Gallagher in Glasgow, woke up the next morning and last thing I remember was being in a bar about 7:30, didn’t even remember going to the gig, and only knew I was there as someone showed me a photo. And I was about £250 down! Fuck that.
