Biggest musical regrets?

Got selected in the ballot for a Springsteen on Broadway show but didn’t take it as it was going to be a very costly trip. Should have just whacked the once in a lifetime opportunity on a credit card and went.

nirvana at Mayfair. Waved my mates off on the old 533 bus I sacked it off as in my (to this day) opinion grunge is terrible. Would have made a canny story being there though.

Kraftwerk at Tate modern. I was due to be in London that day but got nowhere near a ticket as they sold out in seconds and the web page crashing. I never bothered but I should have gone to the venue and bought off a tout

Had tickets to see XTC at the City Hall.

Andy Partridge used to get really bad stage fright and they ended up cancelling the rest of the tour. Don't think he played live much at all after that.
Had tickets for that gig , swapped them for clash tickets, I had see xtc live few times , was gutted when they stopped playing live .

This haunts me to this day although it’s the reverse of bands you didn’t see.

I went to see Oasis at the arena and opted to miss what turned out to be a particularly famous Football match involving my team.

We were in New York over St Patrick’s Day in 2007 and only found out after we got there that The Pogues were playing on SPD. It was long sold out. Annoyingly I had been looking at gigs and things when we first booked the trip (we went to see Pete Yorn the day after SPD) and never saw any mention of it.

Not going to see the Arctic Monkeys at the Sunderland Student Union before the release of their first album.
Not punching my mate when he put the album version of "Paradise by the dashboard light" on the pub jukebox, all 8 and a half bloody minutes of it ffs.

To see Bowie in 1995 Outside tour. Got tickets, Mrs (no) wasn't keen & heard rumours tour was poor and didn't play many old one's.
So sold ticket to mate... Gutted now, Rest is history.

I saw Joe Strummer supporting the Who - Strummer was great - played White Man and London's Calling. The Who were a bit dull.
Streetcore is one of my favourite albums ever. It was not far off finished when he died. The last gigs he did he was starting to do Get Down Moses & Coma Girl as well as other Clash songs & some cracking covers.

Listening to the Fall on 6 Music. I always meant to see them, could have but left it too late. In the past I got tickets to see Lou Reed and Chuck Berry in Newcastle but they both cancelled - at least I tried. With the Fall I was just too lazy. And they were a great band. Anyone you regret not seeing?
Had the chance of a ticket for Live Aid at Wembley, was in the RAF at the time, came home for the weekend instead, gutted
Also never went to see The Jam, was still in school but a lad in my class went, think I was in the 4th year, he was a foot taller and had had a beard since the 2nd year so he looked a lot older 😕

Not really sure if it was ever really doable but I sorta wish I'd considered paying daft money to get into that Led Zeppelin gig at the O2. Same goes for Floyd at Live 8.

Nah, I’ll always considered you more of a music poster. Same thing happened with @What A Waster for a good while.

Music / football was always my 50 50 love affairs. The more I’ve fell out of love with football in recent years has saw my love of music increase.
these days I go to much more gigs than games and I get so much more satisfaction from it to be honest.

Roger McGuinn did a gig in the Sage 2 a few year back. Just him and an acoustic guitar. There were tickets still available on the day (was a weeknight). Neeone seemed bothered. Wish I'd just gotten in the car and gone.

Decided not to see Nick Cave on the Skeleton Tree tour because he was playing at the Manchester Arena which is an appalling venue and I didn't think his new stuff would work there. All the reviews suggest the gig was excellent, have tickets for this tour in the same venue, watch it be shite

Prince for me.

Saw The Fall on several occasions. Some brilliants gigs, some weird ones and one (the last time I saw them) that was a bit flat.
