At least Norburn shouldn't cost too much from a League 2 team.

Both played in midfield all season for a team that got relegated, like Dobson did, hopefully if we get either of them they are a step up from Dobson; I know he played well in the last couple of games, but was dogshit before then
Depends upon what you'd class as too much. They paid around 200k for him and he has over 2 years left on his contact. Rumoured to have turned down 400k from Peterborough last Summer. At least Norburn shouldn't cost too much from a League 2 team.

I was just having a dig at the lad who said that Shrewsbury had been relegated to be honest.Depends upon what you'd class as too much. They paid around 200k for him and he has over 2 years left on his contact. Rumoured to have turned down 400k from Peterborough last Summer.
I did wonder when I saw you'd mentioned league 2.I was just having a dig at the lad who said that Shrewsbury had been relegated to be honest.
Parkinson has implied that the Docherty deal falling flat is more about playing time and ‘wanting to come straight into the team’ rather than being about money.
Ok. Your average league one player really. Would've much preferred Docherty, but understandable that he would prefer to go to a team that he'd be an instant starter. This norburn any good?
We should be looking for some one to improve our midfield, not just competition for Dobson and power but putting one of them on the benchOk. Your average league one player really. I'd agree. From what I saw of Docherty he's better than either of them. Dobson playing well atm but was only a month ago he was getting pelters for being shite. We should be looking for some one to improve our midfield, not just competition for Dobson and power but putting one of them on the bench

Quote from Parkinson:He should be told he starts on the bench. Injuries or suspensions he is in. Then it's up to him. We are all just guessing here. I wonder if it's the money Rangers want that's the sticking point.
Interesting that.Quote from Parkinson:
"He wants to get in the team quickly because he wants to play football.
"We have a list of players that we are interested in and we've made enquiries about a lot of them and we know what the deals are.
"It's not a money issue [as reports in Scotland had suggested holding up the Docherty deal].”
Interesting that.
I do think Parkinson is in the right here, whilst the player wants first team assurances from the off we can’t just change a winning team as soon as Docherty comes in. Dobson & Power are both seemingly building a good partnership too so it will be very harsh to drop either now.
I still think we’ll sign him, he’ll just have to inform Parkinson he’s prepared to wait for his chance.
It’s a long season so he will get opportunities to play.
That to be fair is what he might have been told at Rangers . If our run continues he could end up playing not a lot of games . He might just be desperate to playInteresting that.

Would be a good signing in my opinion. Fits with how we want to play and has the attributes we need in there to keep the current system and game plan effective.
