It's got them to mid-table PL security and a sustainable business model.

We would give our left bollocks for that man.

Our expectations are not on the same planet as the Mags.

They want Ashley out still regardless of what happens on the pitch. My point being you can only get rid of an owner if he wants to sell and if he has a willing buyer.

We had high expectations when we were in the Premier league as well. We were quick to turn on multiple managers over the years.

Sheepfolds is ripe for development but has mixed ownership... So not straightforward
I am sure it is more straightforward when you are a billionaire, even if you do pay a premium for the land it's still going to be a cheap buy in Sunderland.

I'm not happy with how things are going on the pitch or behind the scenes but the Mags have been embarrassing themselves for years with these chairman out type protests and it has gotten them nowhere. The best protest you can do is just stop attending games. You can't get rid of an owner unless there is an interested buyer anyway and other than the stadium we have nowt worth buying right now.
Not if those people are sc holders. The money is already in the bank.
The only way to save our club is to get out there and kick up a fuss. Not just sit at home on a match day.
Safc has been going for 140 years, and it's up to us to keep it going. We owe it to those before us, and those in the future.

Why bring them into it?

We are dying on our feet.

What's your solution? Suck it up and let us fold as you don't want to appear like a Mag?

f***ing grow up and focus on your club and your club only.

It was tweeted 13,000 times. So 200 lijes isnt a fact is it?

The statement I looked at had 200 likes about an hour ago. A few people stamping their feet and banging their keyboards isn't go to alter anything I'm afraid. Donald has filled the club with non league losers, folks that weren't even good enough for the likes of Whitehawk FC, small wonder we are where we are. However unless anyone has a viable alternative to the current ownership its pointless demanding that he goes

Downie comes across as a bit if a wanker imo
Agreed. Not sure what he supposedly warned us about (I know he got stick during the Maja situation) but he’s going on like an absolute baby. It’s a big story imo and he’d rather let his pride get in the way of covering it.

Which managers were we "quick to turn on"?

Donald only has to admit he was wrong and we were right, make the right appointment and things will settle down for him, but only if he continues to make the right footballing decisions

If you want SD out, why wasnt a statement put out about all the bad things he has done?
It seems from the statement that we want SD out as PP substituted a defender for a defender when he was playing 3 at the back anyway.

I find it pathetic tbh.
Surely it could have been better?
Agree, thought it was crap

This, ive read mags in twitter saying they feel our pain as they are dealing with Ashley, f***ing hell man majority of our fans would be like pigs in shit if we were in their shoes. Poor buggers mid table premier league football, financially stable the hell of it all.

I'm sick of the bastards coming out with that tripe, they really haven't got a clue.

Blackburn or Blackpool fans I could maybe understand, but them silly bastards dint realise they're born.

An absentee landlord in that he has gone into hiding... unless he can control the output.

He didn't offer to do a podcast, he asked the fanzines to be his mouthpiece and thankfully they have called him on it. Would not be surprised if his attitude in this regard has brought them all together.
Seems to have, I’m reluctant to call him absentee giving unprecedented levels of access we have had. He is in a very difficult spot now, will be interesting to see how he reacts.

Bruce, O'Neill, Poyet and DiCanio were all turned on by sections of our support very quickly. Constantly changing managers is a major part of our decline and the financial problems at the club.
No they weren't.

Di Canio possibly, but only after the horrific start to the season (worst ever PL start?)

Stop re-writing history.

A tad, but puts a very valid point across.

I honestly don't know where this club goes from here, and I doubt there's any Knight in red n white armour just waiting around the corner, but this bloke's been a disaster.
