Put him in a positive team and he’ll flourish. Bugs me massively when people slate the likes of O’Nien and Hume
O’Nien is fit, willing , aggressive but very limited . Hume can’t defend , runs in straight lines , can’t cross , can’t tackle and turns his head when challenging in the air .

Tbf that was said about Cattermole, Oviedo and Honeyman.

Aye true but the mentalists who were happy to see Cattermole and Oviedo go also thought that we’d reinvest their wages into a team of league 1 galacticos. Just think with 09 if you look better playing out of position than in your position then you need to start doing more.

 fair point mate.
I just couldn’t understand it then and still don’t. We had no LB  horrendous!
Mind if we HAVE to sell to Wycombe, the fella deserves f***ing pelters.
Two things for me. First one. Apparently Donald showed the EFL he had access to £50 million and that ratified the deal. I'm not saying I expected him to hoy 50 million quid into the transfer kitty, but it's a simple obstacle to overcome to buy a football club quickly. Secondly. Only a couple of month after he bought the club there was an article in the times saying he was looking at several lenders and needed £10 million to ease cash flow. Low and behold an investment company lends him that exact amount. I honestly don't believe that he had that £50 million and more significantly I don't believe the talks with the Americans were anything other than him going cap in hand. They were never interested in buying the club imo.

Bloke talks more shite than a politician.

He works hard and is a remarkably good jumper when heading the ball.
The fact that he is deemed by some to be our best player, just shows how minging this squad is.

I think some of you are being very harsh.
We are a league one club with a manager out of his depth, an owner who is clueless, a crowd restless and angry.
The lad does everything he can do at his level of competence.
Surrounded by players who have allowed the situation they find themselves in to be fragile, under confident, some better in their own minds than what they actually are.
Personally I'd offer him a new contract, bin the too old, the too tired, the half arsed and say to him you are exactly what we want at this stage of our decline, our stage of development.
Energy, commitment, belief.
Stick around, be our club captain, see how far we can go before...
Then I'd accept a reasonable offer for him once we are in a better place and moving on to a new level.
