I'm really enjoying the new Underworld stuff thus far.
Just bought the Series One Sampler edition. Not fussed on 639 CD box sets etc.

Good shout. His voice is very A SavageFor fans of Parquet Courts and stuff like that, you'll probably enjoy this Iguana Death Cult record. Ignore the shit name, feel like it doesn't reflect the music!

Have given twigs a first listen. Not bad not great, but think ill persevere. Makes me think of St. VincentWill give Clams Casino a listen. Interested to see what FKA Twigs is like as I never got into her first album.
Did you look into the Walker Roaders (James Fearnley of the Pogues + someone from Flogging Molly + someone from Dropkicks)? I went back to the release week (late August) and it didn't make the weekly list on here. Does pretty much what it says on the tin.Looking forward to the second solo Foo Fighter of the year. Other than TH and Mount Eerie, I’m not familiar with much on there - any recommendations?
Didn’t know it existed, will check it out! There was a new 5-track Charly Bliss EP, Supermoon, out earlier this week.
Also, today, there's a reissue of BOB's (classic) Convenience single on vinyl with a previously unreleased B-side

I'd say it's more Skinny Lister than the harder punk-folk of the 3 mentioned bands, but it's decent enoughDidn’t know it existed, will check it out!
Thanks for the nudge about this as I'd forgotten to have a listen to The Walker Roaders. 'Lord Randall's Bastard Son' is like a Pogues/Skinny Lister hybrid.I'd say it's more Skinny Lister than the harder punk-folk of the 3 mentioned bands, but it's decent enough
now that's interesting to hear - the mountain will fall was my favorite album of 2016 - i do hope this is in some small way near the standard of that effort!DJ Shadow
loving the lankum album, got tickets to see them in JanuaryStill enjoying nude casino and FKA Twigs from previous posts. Tried lankum but found it hard going
Shadow and Hatfield for me.It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas so there's a definite slow down of new releases. This week's come from Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Celine Dion, DJ Shadow, Juliana Hatfield, Lady Antebellum, Lil Peep (a posthumous release), Ryuichi Sakamoto & Alva Noto (a live album), Antoinette Konan, Sessa, Tindersticks and Jeffrey Lewis & Voltage.
Might give it another go when my head isn't a shedloving the lankum album, got tickets to see them in January

I think Toy have an album of covers out tomorrow
I think they cover a Stooges song, I don't know what else is on it. Should be decent thoughAye, you're right. Songs that inspired them, seemingly.
