What a load of shite, that first part man.Did anyone ask Donald his reasons for recruiting a clueless football manager when he took over the club? Then quite incredibly why he’s employed an even more clueless one after he sacked him?
I think people are expecting someone wishing aids on him and his kids or something. He was clear last night the abuse he couldn’t handle were those questioning his motive. He handled that by removing himself from Twitter. He shouldn’t have shied away from public talk ins and matches in my opinion but he’s only human and if he needed a rest bite then that’s his prerogative. If we hadn’t lost a load of games nobody would have cared.
The criticism is fair especially in terms of recruitment and performance but there are some obvious agendas by some. It’s the world we live in now. Trolling and shouting abuse from your keyboard is an accepted opinion by a generation. It’s up to the sensible to filter that out and that includes Stewart Donald, although not being subjected to it I’m not qualified to comment.
It depends on which dictionary you refer to, but ‘Chancer’ can very much be a derogatory/abusive/slanderous term. I know to me, it always meant someone who took a risk/gamble which is what the Cambridge Dictionary says, and I don’t see that as being particularly offensive, but many other dictionaries refer to it being someone who is devious and fooling others.
I am certain there will still be plenty of abusive posts on here which I haven’t seen yet and haven’t been reported, but sadly there has been a hell of a lot of stuff deleted by myself and the moderators so what is left is only the tip of the iceberg.
The abuse serves nobody. All it is doing is alienating the owners and causing arguments on here. No way should we all be ‘happy clappers’ and I have criticised both SD and CM and our managers myself on here, but I have never felt the need to throw abuse or threaten any of them.
The match thing is a bit of a red herring. His time not attending SAFC games coincided with his being in Japan for the Rugby![]()
we need to nip this little myth in the bud.
I’ve seen some of the stuff posted on here about him. It isn’t a myth.we need to nip this little myth in the bud.
Or it could spur him on to prove him wrong?
Grigg's a big lad, he'll know his performances are not acceptable. I can't see him improving any time soon.
I'm not so sure it's all about confidence with Grigg, as much about the fact he never wanted to be here in the first place and still doesn't. Kernt smiled when he missed that pen the other week
In the context of Stewart Donald and Sunderland AFC it's someone taking advantage of our lowly position to come here and play football chairman, because "phwoar, a club the size of Sunderland, that should be a laugh". He's said himself it was a unique opportunity to take control of a 'premiership' club that in most any other circumstances would prove impossible for him. He's not here for the sole benefit of SAFC, he's not some saviour, he's not a philanthropist. He's here as a football fan who wants to get amongst it and play chairman. Now that's probably no different to many other football club owners/chairmen/directors, but the problem is here, and this is where the word chancer comes back in, Stewart Donald is a man of limited means, and at a club like Sunderland I'm afraid he's pushing his luck a little too far. The aim here should be to get Sunderland AFC back to the Premier League as quickly as possible. I say should because I'm not convinced that is the intention here as quite simply it's beyond him. To be fair between them they've been quite careful not to over promise, but they're sure managing to under deliver. It depends on which dictionary you refer to, but ‘Chancer’ can very much be a derogatory/abusive/slanderous term. You clearly haven’t seen some of the posts we have deleted.

Ha way man you know it's been way worse than that.Ive read the threads and couldn’t see any personal abuse. Unless mods are pulling some quotes the worst I seen was people calling him a chancer and unsure to trust him or not.
Ha way man you know it's been way worse than that.
We have some stupid negative fans and the personal abuse on here or what he has received at matches is disgusting.
He was a great player but his opinions on SAFC are lazy, ill considered, condescending dogshit.Never! He’s the greatest man to ever walk this earth.
You have the owner of the message board telling you he has deleted threatening posts about Stewart Donald and you "don't believe it for a second"sorry mate but I don’t believe that for a second.

He hasn't said it is rosy though. Donald isn't blind to the fact we aren't doing well on the pitch.I'm sorry, like, but I'm not going to accept that everything is rosy just because he said so. It's hardly like him and Methven have been straight with us recently. It's time for him to earn some trust by standing by what he's said as talk is cheap.
I wasn't talking specifically about events on the pitch. He hasn't said it is rosy though. Donald isn't blind to the fact we aren't doing well on the pitch.

you know what this place is like - if someone had threatened Donald on here, it would still be being talked about. A lot.
youve seen people threaten him on here?
