NFL hats at the match

I wear my Carolina Panthers dut to games.
Panthers is the natural choice for Sunderland fans imo.

Carolina is in the Deep South, the disenfranchised region of the more affluent US and they are the Black Cats (panthers). SAFC also toured Carolina many years back iirc and made an impression.

So its a Panthers dut for me!

Be wearing my panthers hat again soon with the cold weather coming in,see a few panthers hats at the games, even saw one at halftime at the Leicester U21 game last Tuesday

I wonder if you go to Heinz Field you’d see loads of EPL and EFL hats dotted about

imagine seeing a fat bloke in a Pittsburgh jersey and a red SAFC bobble hat on

Steelers cap and bobble hat for me.
Not at the same time though.
Keeps me scars warm in the cold weather and way better quality than the shite on the club shop.

Saw a few NFL hats in crowd in the Wolves - Villa game. Not that there's any natural colour scheme for either team in the NFL like. Must have just liked the cosy lining.

tbh I always thought it was a more general North East term.

I was brought up in Sunderland but my parents are from Peterlee so I probably picked it up that way 😂
You're probably right mate. Most of those that I'd spoke to who hadn't heard of it were from Teesside.
