People cant seem to debate. Everything seems to be either black or white. If you disagree then the abuse starts and god help someone who goes very much against the grain.

im not having a go, but you need to look up what liable means and see the posts that were deleted for being that.

We have that many petulant posters on here at the moment and the amount of abuse between posters, and libellous posts directed at owners/managers/players etc has gone off-scale over the last year and particularly in the last couple of months. Yes, feelings are high, but there is no excuse for a lot of what we are seeing in the "Football" forum.

Despite having a large team of moderators across several timezones it is becoming impossible to deal with this and only you, the members of the forums can make them go back on track.

Today alone, hundreds of posts have been removed (that is excluding the "takeover" thread which has been deleted) and several people have totted up enough warnings to be banned. That is not how I (and I am sure the majority of people here) want to see the forum running.

Can I ask everyone to have some restraint. Take a deep breath and think about what you are posting before you press the "Post" button. Remember you are responsible for what you post.

Football is all about opinions , but some people just don’t respect other people’s views. The key board warriors very bravely insult others when it’s just not necessary. Agree to disagree and just leave it.
 
Place is full of attention seekers and self pitiers....it’s laughable what some people post...it seems that this place is what people live for and that is so sad...if the take over doesn’t happen there will still be a Safc but too many think the take over is the difference between life and death

Realistically you aren't going to be labelled libellous for saying a player was not trying in a game the night before. Making shit up about the player and what their contract involves and attaching personal views on why the player was not trying hard enough probably will.

There's a clear easy to see difference in my eyes.

I’m happy to be patronised but at least get libel right ;)

I’m specifically referencing the warning I have had (don’t know what it was for other than ‘libellous’). If what I said was libellous in those posts, this board would probably have to be shut down, news channels would have to be shut down and any public discussion would be. No accusations were made and there was nothing abusive or personal either.

This like. More permanent bans for the proper knackers that spout nothing but bile and miraculously disappear after a win etc.
