Tell that to Jack Ross. He was the one who targeted 20 clean sheets not the fans.100% of not winning one if you don’t score.
Which would you prefer?

Keep reading this, but tell me this if we are so poor what does that make the teams below us?We are a poor side, past results mean Jack shit when we roll up to town.

You know the likes of Bolton and Lincoln.
Exactly they're upping their game so why the fuck can Ross not get us to up our game once in a while?Aye but quite a number buy into the clean sheet bullshit, I think Big Sam pickled their brains.
We don’t see other sides every week but if they are upping their games playing us and it works it’s only going to give those sides you mention confidence seeing us rattled.
I'm still confused by what he's trying to say. He says " if the expectation is to walk the league, or get 100 points, then that's unrealistic". I don't know one fan that has ever said either of those things.
Aye but quite a number buy into the clean sheet bullshit, I think Big Sam pickled their brains.
The owners said that and the manager has mentioned not getting promotion as being failure.
Yet at the same time Hunter said we should be challenging for promotion and capable of winning the league, with Jack Ross.
Minutes later he's saying there's an overreaction to dropped points, which drags the club back and makes it harder to manage, with absolutely no realisation that expectations of a club our size at this level, owners comments, manager history, performances and results plays an absolutely crucial part in the fans reaction.
He went onto mention the five games won on the spin didn't change the perception of Ross much , ignoring the problems that most of us have commented on since last January still remained and then showed up again against Peterborough, Rotherham, Bolton and also ignoring two were Carabao Cup games anyway. Surely if people's perception was formed over 5 games, rather than a season or a season and a half that would make them more fickle than games against sides in this league that even he seems to think we should be winning our fair share of?
He then went onto say even after the two recent wins MK Dons and Sheff United's not bothered squad that as soon as we lost against Lincoln people overlooked them again. So the guy is basically saying we should be up there and we should be capable of gaining automatic promotion, but there shouldn't be a big reaction when so many sides are turning us over or taking points of us and seemingly performances, which are suggesting poor form doesn't even come into it.
I understand the need for balance in the media, but if he cannot see a link between abject performances and more abject results over a sustained period the guy is just licking hoop for self preservation.
I get the need for it because it can build confidence in the team and the defence. There simply has to be balance though throughout the team and despite the limited set up and turgid play here we're still absolutely shit defensively.
Kind of agree with the 1st bit. It’s certainly not a squad that’s going to piss this shit league we find ourselves in. Completely disagree with the 2nd bit. He can’t organise them, give them a game plan, we look unfit, fuck knows what he says to them at half time because from 45-65 minutes we are generally beyond pathetic. All of the above is firmly at the door of Ross.He also says that the assumption that the squad is one of the best in the league needs to be removed and Ross is getting as much out of them as they're capable of.
Like has been said, Hunter took a similar stance with Moyes towards the end. Moyes started shifting blame on to Bain, Short ect. Hunter was replying to tweets last night and saying if the target was 100 points then there should have been more investment in the squad. It seems to me his gripe is with Donald, but he has shifted that onto the fans. Why not challenge Donald if he thinks more should have been spent, or if he thinks the 100 point target was unrealistic? My gut feeling is that all isn't as rosie between the manager and the owners as we've been led to believe. I've stuck up for Ross in the past, but now feel he needs to be removed for everyone's sake including his own. I've stuck up for Donald and said that he can be excitable in public. However I'm not having any of them let the fans be used as a scapegoat for things they've done and said.Kind of agree with the 1st bit. Your right like. It’s not the fans who came out with this aiming for 100 points nonsense. He’s also right if that was the aim the squad needed money spending on it.Like has been said, Hunter took a similar stance with Moyes towards the end. Explain how you set up for a clean sheet?
Who is saying that like? Social media and comments at the match don't reflect that comment one bit. Point me to one comment that says this team has played well, or are looking the part. This team is bang average and the fans are deluded if they think otherwise regardless of who the manager if the owners don’t budget for better players then the cycle will continue
But it worked up Allardyce. We kept clean sheets and were scoring too. Our form was top six. Any coach worth his salt will tell you need a good spine in the team and you start at the back. On paper we have the best squad in the league but we can't put them into a team. We don't have a set formation or strategy. We signed players on reputation and availability rather than players to fit a system.Aye but quite a number buy into the clean sheet bullshit, I think Big Sam pickled their brains.

Luton signed 17 players last season without spending a pennySo changing your manager like we have and bringing in 8-10 players every year hasn’t contributed to our downfall?
It’s you who is talking shite mate.
It's a no brainer marra. That's why he needs to find the balls to challenge Donald if that's how he feels.Your right like. It’s not the fans who came out with this aiming for 100 points nonsense. He’s also right if that was the aim the squad needed money spending on it.
Is that not a very good attitude to take?Fans want to win every game, always.
Every team that causes us problems have a midfielder who can carry the ball forward allowing them to put us on the back foot soon as we lose possession. A big mobile centre forward. A bit of strength in the side. We recruited horribly again this summer. Not helped by Ross not having a clue on how he wanted to play. But we are absolutely crying out for 2 players like this regardless of what system he wants to play.Luton signed 17 players last season without spending a penny
