The guys taking the club over are investing money in the club on behalf of their clients one of which happens to be Dell. They will want a return on their spend. So I think this will not be a vanity project like City or Chelsea but rather a money making project as they are buying a distressed asset with upside potential and once that potential is realised they will sell. They may even sell us as a championship club

They aren't. They're investing a personal capacity. They are partners in a newly-formed US LLC (FPP Sunderland Llc), which in turn owns 100% of the new UK company FPP Sunderland Ltd. which will acquire the agrees proportion of the shares in Sunderland Ltd. They're not going via MSD Capital or MSD Partners precisely because they aren't looking for a quick return. Indications are that they want to around at least ten years, and will look to help regenerate the city as well as the club. This is a legacy project, not a money-making venture. Another subs bench spouting bullshit. I wonder who and why?
Is everyone deliriously happy yet at the news of the takeover?
Is the champagne flowing where you are right now?

Just looks like another lads fans who has repeated something by mistake, looking at his post history. Not every poster is following this thread in detail, decent Sunderland fans will get things wrong. We all had to start posting on here as a subs bench at some point.
Who did you think it was and what motive did you think they had for lying?
Is everyone deliriously happy yet at the news of the takeover?

Who owns your club mate?To be fair, internationally succesful businessmen investing a fortune into a community halfway round the world and a club for no financial return makes no sense, so it's understandable people will question it.
Ultimately, nobody knows their actual plans for the club, apart from them.
No they're not![]()
It’s easily done and they wouldn’t have to get off their arses to do it. Right up their street and I’d be amazed if they hadn’t been doing it for quite some time.I've heard that the press are all over this thread, and have also been creating logins to push out bogus information. A bit tinfoil hat, but it's well within the realms of possibility.
I am merely just passing on info that I have been given.
Yanar what mate? I saw a post a while ago from you complaining about how people on here talk to you and that you were sick of it.Is everyone deliriously happy yet at the news of the takeover?
Is the champagne flowing where you are right now?
It is this type or precision we need here mind, especially if you are among those of us in the majority who do not really have any knowledge of this type of thing.

Eh? More and more the ownership of clubs in the top two divisions has gone to internationally successful businessmen from around the world - your post is rather nonsensical mate.To be fair, internationally succesful businessmen investing a fortune into a community halfway round the world and a club for no financial return makes no sense, so it's understandable people will question it.
Ultimately, nobody knows their actual plans for the club, apart from them.
As I understand it these lads are using their own money and are not acting on behalf of MSD.Maybe, maybe not. They're only paying around 40-50 million pounds. They paid more than that for a 7% share in the Miami Marlins. MSD have investments in so many businesses, that it's not beyond comprehension that they could easily double or triple their investment in less than 4-5 years by simply getting promoted to the Premier League and then selling on. This is how they became billionaires.
The big hope is that they will be around long enough with deep pockets to fund both a successful return to the Premier League, and also make us competitive in the top half of that league. That's the dream for now. Let's hope it becomes reality.
Embarrassing that, utter wankers the majority of journalists! The mag bias lot will be fumingI've heard that the press are all over this thread, and have also been creating logins to push out bogus information. A bit tinfoil hat, but it's well within the realms of possibility.
