I was told members of the PR and Marketing team at the club had been called back from holiday this week, so I'd expected that would mean an announcement today or at the weekend. I think we'd know by now if there was to be a press conference today.
I would be canny pissed off if i was called back from my holiday like.

I'm just sitting back waiting for the official announcement like, pretty much like I do for new signings now. Must be getting old.

The guys taking the club over are investing money in the club on behalf of their clients one of which happens to be Dell. They will want a return on their spend. So I think this will not be a vanity project like City or Chelsea but rather a money making project as they are buying a distressed asset with upside potential and once that potential is realised they will sell. They may even sell us as a championship club
They haven’t bought us via a company, they’ve set up a company using their own personal money

That is the balanced way that I am looking at the takeover right now.

Dell is to be an investor (shareholder) but not a company director. Companies house do not maintain shareholder lists, that is the responsibility of the limited company itself. If as one of the other posts noted the three names own 75% of shares then we can infer Dell owns the other 25% of this company (which will then buy the controlling stake in the company Stewart and Charlie used to buy the club).

Under the rules of people with significant control you only declare above 75% - it is the LLC that owns the shares - we cannot see who owns that LLC but there is nothing to suggest Dell owns the other 25% (unless you know otherwise)

They aren't investing on behalf of their clients though, it's their own money. @Grumpy Old Man, sorry but you can explain this better than me

They are investing as individuals though i believe, and not as the company.

If they sell in future that means we have been successful, so its a win win

Granted there’s a lot of messages to wade through but the clear steer I’ve taken from this thread is actually the complete opposite to what you’ve just said above mate

They aren't. They're investing a personal capacity. They are partners in a newly-formed US LLC (FPP Sunderland Llc), which in turn owns 100% of the new UK company FPP Sunderland Ltd. which will acquire the agrees proportion of the shares in Sunderland Ltd. They're not going via MSD Capital or MSD Partners precisely because they aren't looking for a quick return. Indications are that they want to around at least ten years, and will look to help regenerate the city as well as the club. This is a legacy project, not a money-making venture. Another subs bench spouting bullshit. I wonder who and why?

There have been so many interpretations of this. I do suspect however that they see the club as a source of profit. If the takeover happens we will soon realise as to what their motive is

Wrong.
