Really cant get my head round all this stick for donald, when he came in the club as a whole was catastrophically unsustainable with more people employed than the mags as an example, yet little over a year later the club is close to breaking even, he appointed a manager who was known for having his teams score goals for fun, he immediately started to reconnect the club and the fans again and since then has looked to expand the fan base around the world. He provided his staff with the biggest budget in this leagues history, even without grigg there were still decent fees paid for the likes of o’nien in terms of league one fees. Granted there were several frees signed however i think most have already proven themselves to be up it. I personally believe this squad that was assembled is more than capable of getting promoted if they play consistently at levels which theyve shown in some games to be capable of. Donald has taken a club that was on its knees and turned it around to a point where these very rich individuals feel they want to invest their money into it, and they still feel donald is the man they want running the show. Granted there is still things he has got wrong but he’ll be the first to admit to them but on the whole i feel like hes doing a very good job to me

It reminds me of someone who's car i fixed year's ago whom then rang me up 2 years later saying the part was shìt because another unrelated fault had occurred.

the billionares aren't coming

beware of suits from down south and americans

we will look a bit silly at the end of it

a bit like a wet dream really

Someone earlier on the last thread made a post which Reiver liked. Basically said that they were near to buying the mags; not the time that is in the press from years ago but very, very recently. Apparently some indication that Ashley "moved the goalposts" at a decently advanced stage which caused them to walk away. If (and it's a huge if) they were near to getting these lads and Ashley f***ing about sent them to us then there will be all sorts of anger on Tyneside
It was me that wrote that post mate. And it was all true.

So... For someone who doesn't have the time nor the inclination to wade through pages and pages of absolute shit... Is this still happening or not? If it is... Then when? WHEN???

If you can't be arsed to wade through the cesspit that is the last 107 pages then you don't get to nibble upon the floating sweetcorn that float your way every now and again.

Despite Reiver saying he was done ....

1. They'll approve spend, but will be monitoring it closely. Apparently they know Daniel Levy, so the agents might find the gravy train is stuck in the station. That level of control might make certain managers have second thoughts.
2. New signings will be sold the future, not the present.
3. They're still hoping to get the announcement done this week.

There's more, but well outside my pay grade.

Aye, when Reiver (who definitely seems to have been getting info) liked the post and responded with the sun glasses emoji dude I reckoned it was likely true! Hope Ashley really fucked it up, and I hope it comes out, just because I want to witness the meltdown!
I cant remember the exact reason why it didn't happen, but it was all set up for them and it was looking very much on.

Then, step forward Sir Mike
