Absolutely, you can be a shareholder without being a director. Ashley isn't a director of the Mags, for example, and Abramovich isn't a director at Chelsea.
I would still have liked to see him named somewhere. Hopefully he is in the press rekease. Someone must ask the question?

Thought so mate. Nobody in their right mind would expect Dell to have any executive responsibility at SAFC

So this looks like the dream outcome

With him not being named, it gives the club more options for funding and meeting financial fair play. e.g. stadium being sponsored, shirt sponsor ......

My reading of this is that FPP is a company that has been set up as a vehicle for the purchase of shares in the football club.
There are three directors holding equal rights in the company that has a nominal value of £1.00.
Collectively, they own 75% or more of the shares. I would guess that the actual figure is 100%. Note, there is only one share in this company. So no mention of Michael Dell as yet but all that could change once the purchase of SAFC shares takes place.
This documentation doesn't show that the club has been taken over yet, but this is certainly a major step towards that happening.

If he’s an investor he won’t necessarily be named anywhere. For instance MSD Capital could use his money to invest in this.
