Takeover Rumours

Aye Peterborough are a league one side and look to be playing some great stuff. Last season we had several players who’s entire career had been spent at a higher level and he still couldn’t get them playing. The argument were a league one side so we’re incapable of playing good football is absolute bollocks

You can count on one hand the amount of games we’ve dominated under Ross. Not good enough with the resources at his disposal.
It always looks like we're playing with the hand brake on, just let them play for fucks sake Jack, theres nowt to be scared of in this league

Can you honestly say he’s a decent manager and right for us ?We don’t have a “team” just 11 random players cobbled together and told to get on with it .The lack of any style or pattern to our play is a massive worry and always has been since this time last year .

His press conferences are awful as I can’t understand a word he’s saying due to his dour monopitch tone, very uninspiring and I read on here the players think the same .

Need shot ideally before the press conference is announced as we are heading nowhere with this fella.
That's strange about the players because I keep reading that they all love him and the training. I dare say the truth is somewhere in between.

Like I said learn to read , I’ve already said they were shit against Peterborough unlike you I will support the team hoping for promotion as we are only 2 pts off the top. You carry on with your anti Ross negative shite dreaming of BSA which isn’t going to happen
I'm not arsed about bsa at all. Anybody who is better than Ross will do me.

As for my support? I've had a season ticket since I was 13 year old, was at accrington yesterday and will be at bolton and lincoln and have over 50 loyalty points. But obviously I'm not a fan.

Self righteous f***ing nonsense from you

Wow that you think struggling PL sides are going to play top of the PL sides off the park but it's impossible for top of league 1 sides to play bottom of league 1 sides off the park.

If I recall correctly, last season at the start we played some good football. we agreed at the match (s) that we were passing the ball around well. Although the team had faults, we looked far better that the previous season and things looked on the up.

big problem for us, that we did not realise at the time was the cheating that was to hamper us.

There was a huge amount of timewasting going on, together with the feigning of injuries and the ultimate cheating by teams and opposing teams continually surrounding the referee to get decisions their way.

how many red cards were rescinded last season and 1 more this season. The last one this season, why their player was never sanctioned was a disgrace.

yet when we tried to play football we were kicked out of the game and McGeady was targeted especially near the end of the season and other players received bad injuries and were out for a while, whilst the tackle that caused the injury often went unpunished.

Was it the playing in front of 30,000 at the sol or in front of 5,000 away noisy away fans that somehow changed things against us.

clearly players need protection against bad tackles and I just wonder how officials miss these

Ross has clearly made some bad decisions but he also had to change his tactics in order to counteract the negative side of the game against us, so instead of going forward playing football, in my opinion, he has played too negatively.

yes we have no right to win, but the officials must do their best to allow a game to be played lawfully. Yes it is the opponents job to spoil our play, but it should be done lawfully

I’ve just had to re-read that Sun article a couple of times to find the reference to Allardyce practically begging for a managers job. Yet no matter how many times I read it, I couldn’t see it. Would you be so kind to point it out for me.

got one big project left in him - please give me the job.

got a backroom staff ready to go if you just please... give me the job.

sights set on Sunderland - please give me the job.

of course you're going to claim there's no quotes but ha'way man. It's quite clear where this story is coming from and it won't be from the club, the board or the new potential owners.

I just can't get my head around it. Last season was a dismal failure. There's been no significant improvement.
Some people are impressed by him just because he dresses quite smart and cos he doesn’t rant and rave on the sidelines. Some people think it’s great that he’s calm they can’t see that it’s because he’s not good enough to make positive changes or bark instructions that change the game

While I do agree. Its probably the same place Nixon broke the takeover story from anyway if @Reiver clues on advisor was correct t

The only games I can think of where we ayed well last seaoan were Scunthorpe at home and Barnsley game first half where we took the piss.

We were getting results last season but we're creating very very little still but Maja was converting almost every chance and we were being battered by sides who just kept missing chances. Plymouth away, they had about 30 attempts on goal and hit the target once and we beat them with hardly any attempts ourselves.

At the beginning of the season we pressed more but we often went behind early on so something changed and we stopped working and pressing.

In the end poor performances, build up of fixtures, and the luck of relying on other sides to either gift us chances or miss sitters caught up on us as from what I've seen so far this season very little has changed from that except our performances overall are worse but this may well be because we've weakened the squad in the summer and haven't resolved glaring issues we had.

I'm not having cheating as a reason we don't dominate any games even against relegation fodder who's whole squad earns less than Mcgeady.

Results will be the deciding factor in my book if we are taken over and we are only say 4th by december i think ross will be gone I do however think that if we keep most people fit we will be top of the league before december (as i think the league is worse than last year) and nobody is going to sack ross if we are in the top two !I am however willing to put 500 quid on a charity bet with someone who thinks ross will get us promoted to the premiership next season! Is there anybody on here who thinks he will be able to get us up to the prem in one year?.if the takeover does not go through ross will be here until either he resigns or his contract runs out!
