Just about to post saying they were getting a bit of a partnership going then an absolute jaffa from Raine

77/5. Game on again

If that happened it would be even better if Middlesex were docked points for a dodgy pitch!

I was talking to a bloke this morning at the 2nds match and he said the same thing.

Forgot to mention one of the umpires at the 2nds today was none other than The Colonel !..it obviously inspired Weighell and Potts mind who put on 266 for the 7th wicket.

Cracking fightback - we shouldn’t expect any other really.

I sort of think going off for the light is a good thing, (hopefully) they’ll be polished off in the first hour tomorrow and we’ll be able to bat in improving conditions with a lead as the day goes on.

No idea what to think of the wicket but I expect both teams will make a better fist of it in the second innings.

No idea whether the pitch is worthy of a visit from the pitch inspectors, but no doubt they’ll say what they always do. Wickets fell due to excessive swing and poor strokes - Raine seemed to get quite a bit of seam movement though and the Malan lbw appeared to keep low (From the body language of the batsman).

Plenty of cloud forecast for tomorrow, which will hopefully help us to polish off those last three wickets. A lead from the first innings could be vital, in what looks like a low scoring match.

Enjoyable day and chatted to mike selvey at lunch, Canny bloke

I couldn’t help think why the fuck haven’t we been playing the ashes on pitches like that, so frustrating

Back to Durham, great position

I really like Ben raine as a cricketer
