In late 90s like we came off the beach, 2 pints 2 cokes n a decent spag bol each. £3, gave the bloke a fiver n he was close to tears. I think theres very few places that cheap now. Saying that my mates settled in Slovenia n he reckons it is there.
Edit: thats still only £2.55 like which is cheaper than 80% of the uk.
100% - the October holiday we took in 2016 had kids "entertainment" every night which was f***ing cringeworthy but at least us parents could sit at the back getting slowly pissedYep anyone dissing family choices are mental.
Holiday types change massively with kids. Do you think i really wanna do the f***ing conga every night!
The capital of Bulgaria can be as dear or as cheap as you want it, so am guessing that would also apply to the coastal areas.Im one of those lazy, scruffy, 3 all inclusives a year tramps to the smb mate so that wouldnt really apply.

BradfordWhere the fuck do you go on holiday?
Sorry?DNASH?
Fully agree, I was up and at the Ilyiantsi street market buying socks at 8amNot very good at just sitting by the pool. Can appreciate why people would like it but we just get itchy feet.
Prefer city breaks. Usually go out first thing in morning, see the sights then go for some food and drinks. Know some people who go on city breaks but don’t leave the hotel till 12/1 o clock. Find that mad
In the last couple of years Valletta has had a record amount of tourists.
The British are in the minority these days.
The British tend to hang around the cheap bars with two interests.
Getting pissed every day and going home like a brown leather handbag
They go to the mentioned places to get pissed up every day ?
Yeah, I go other places too (recently Bruges, Bristol and York) . But I need my annual Lakes visit. But do you go to other places as well?
Nothing wrong with having a favourite place that you like to go back to, but if that is the ONLY place you ever go to, i struggle to get that mentality. As Spenny says theres a whole world to explore.
I have a mate who's a bit like that, has his one resort he goes a couple of times a year & no where else. Thinks its hilarious when I go off & do something a bit different beyond the standard resort in the med.
I’m in the lakes now. It’s pissing down. Off to Penrith food hall in a bit.Weird. I enjoy going to the Lakes at some point every year if I can. Fantastic place and I always get a sense of peace there. Why would I not go back because I've been there before?
Not remotely interested in sitting on a beach or by a pool going bright red either.
That's great newsI’ve never left Gibraltar so I’m not really sure what type of holidaymaker I am.
I enjoy the protection of the city walls that keep out the Spaniards.
Follow the crowds loving the In place to go.
You avoid fellow Brits and go to non holiday resorts ?
Can't stand the likes of Turkey, Bulgaria etc where people go because it's CHEAP.
I'm thinking of Kazakhstan in the future. You been ?I like cheap.
Antalia inTurkey was cheap and excellent regarding culture and especially the history of the place.
I used to do the USA on a very tight budget, one trip to California saw me hiring a car and living in it for two weeks. What an adventure that was.
Now it's Asia because it's dirt cheap and there's all the culture in the world to see, hear and taste along with a mixture of great sightseeing and marvellous beaches for next to nowt. In future I'm looking forward to seeing Borneo sometime and hopefully Japan...somehow on a budget.
Where ever I go though I try to eat what the locals eat, shying away from western pubs and the likes. But that makes it even cheaper and more fun...
Vive les vacances pas chères.
They all hang around up north. I live near Valletta and am yet to meet a Brit.I’m in Turkey as we speak and I’ve only spoken to one Brit, and he runs the hotel, no other Brit tourists, hope this helps.
You still living in Malta, where absolutely no brits go, ever?
