Enjoyed that more than I thought. Last 4 miles were hard work and had to use all the mental strength I had for the last 2 miles and kept remembering the money I had raised for the bairns.

One thing I'll say is that I was wrong about the run. Honestly thought I'd hate it due to the numbers. However, it was fine. Couple of bottlenecks but overall it was fine.

Might even do it next year

I never understand why people don’t just turn up at the start at the latest possible start time and enjoy a clear run, rather than spending the first couple of miles shuffling along in the pack.

It doesn't work like that. The later you start the more time & distance you have to waste dodging sloths.
