It was a possibility, and there was little harm in putting up possibilities (some far more realistic than others). And I do know that not all the current management are totally sold on Ross. However, the more I thought about it, the more likely it seemed not to be a staffing issue likely to stall the deal, simple because it's so easy to sack a manager in comparison to someone on a normal employment contract.

The only snippet is a drunken WhatsApp I received in the early hours ranting about how only PS bloody G are richer than us.

This has come from someone at the heart of things and I noticed another poster mention it this morning.

He has a connection with the same person but, under no circumstances, would risk putting himself under the scrutiny I am.

There are posters coming on, day after day, with 'Ah hah, I've forensically examined all of your comments and have caught you out!'

I'm being pulled up for the slightest most erroneous grammatical slips, no wonder other posters, with real info, refuse to post ...

... it's absolutely tragic mate, you'd think I'm trying to trick people into believing something bad about the club.

Do you know why no announcement yet mate? Seems strange that the new owners are over here but no announcement, even though it's signed off.

Won't affect me in any way at all and not worried in any way.
The ones who negatively react will be like the fair weather PL supporters who we had like all other clubs and see this as an opportunity to start loving SAFC again

It's absolutely crazy. I'm actually convinced that some "fans" would rather the takeover all be a load of bollocks or fall through as long as they can get their moment of message board glory finding the "smoking gun" that catches you out. For me you're trying your best to keep people informed, and most of us are very grateful because otherwise the long wait really would have us worried. Judging by the amount of messages and things you must be receiving I think you're doing well to put your posts across as coherently as you are. Sadly some people are just mirthless, bitter and desperate to put a downer on anything and everything

On the contrary, if you want to lose, say, the CEO, or replace the recruitment team with a DoF, and have replacements ready to announce, you'd want to have an agreed settlement with the leavers so you can announce the whole thing in one go, particularly if the Americans aren't planning on being here en masse that regularly. So the deal could easily be signed off, ready to announce, but waiting for the the key immediate post-acquisition appointees to be in place before actually doing it.

I aint no lawyer but als had and advert on their website (around late august)advertising the SunDelland t shirt with a tag line "following our takeover by dell"

This is one of the strongest reasons i think the deal is done and were just waiting for the lawyers to find the right pen!As als have a close relationship with don and charlie and they have been given the nod by them about the takeover.If not well im no expert on the rules advertising on the internet but i for one would be asking for my money back if the takeover failed.

Not really that strange. May be waiting on official EFL approval, with England games on they will be waiting for a free day in the national press, may be wanting to make staff changes behind the scenes, finalising paperwork with the club to become official board members, arranging transfer of funds, transfer of shares in the club paperwork etc. Loads of things to sort out even if all the initial details are sorted and signed.
