I like her commentary, personally.

“Women commentators should commentate on women’s cricket. Which should never be allowed on tv. It’s just box ticking”A thread choc full of standard misogynistic cricketing snobs
I like her and Isha. Ally Mitchell does my tits in though.

A misogynist opinion and I am totally relaxed.Or just an opinion, relax.

It's hardly the same. Cricket, like golf was for many years and exclusively male sport. Entrenched in misogyny and snobbery. Women not allowed, women sneered at and look down upon.So when people criticise the blokes it’s fair to call it misandry, right?

To suggest that a female commentator is only commentating on a male sport to "tick a box" is hugely insulting and massively wide of the mark.
You don't like them, we get that. We ALL get that, but to suggest they aren't up to the job, or shouldn't be allowed to commentate is just wrong
There is no bigger old boys network than TMS (well, maybe the Conservative Party) and it's been a breath of fresh air listening to the likes of Alison Mitchell and Ebony Rainford-Brent add their voices to the mix. It's not all plain sailing of course, even the lads on TMS and SKY can't help but make the odd sexist remark when introducing or referring to their female colleagues.
The long and short of it is that the women are here to stay and I couldn't be happier about it.
Several blokes who are considerably better
I think Isa is excellent on Sky. Better than yesterdays men like Gower and Lloyd.I don't think any are particularly great but female voices coming in has to be a good thing for me. Our media's version of the Saffa quota system in a way, done for the greater good.
Cricket didn't reach out to 50% of the population for too long.
Which is entirely your opinion.
We aren't going to agree on this. I would be embarrassed to be publicly sexists, chauvinistic and misogynist so my hat's off to you for being brave/stupid enough to be so honest.

I’m an egalitarian, I’m not a fan of tokenism at all
in my job, standards were lowered and even ignored in order to give certain people a job. In my job, if you aren’t capable of doing the job, people WILL die.
On the other hand I get fed up with Bumble. The bloke can’t keep his gob shut. Richie Benaud famously one went for overs without saying anything because the cricket was so enthralling. Bumble seems to think there’s a need for constant noise. Should rename him Babble.
That's the argument right there. You seem to think they are only there as a box ticking exercise which is completely disrespectful and wrong.
Which is unfortunate but has nothing to do with cricket commentary (I hope)
My last words on the subject. We won't agree on this and I see no point in continuing.
