I take my hat off to you Riv, you nailed your colours to the mast early doors against a lot of negativity. I have watched the discussion from the periphery wanting to believe totally but Sunderland being Sunderland there was always that shadow of doubt. That shadow has all but dispersed, the more I read from you and others to a lesser extent a few others the more I believe you are right.i raise my glass to you Riv and thank you for your infoNothing can be done until the EFL have their moment of glory.
Everything else is done.
But there's a few posters saying that Barnsley and Portsmouth have billionaire owners and they've spent fuck all..I think people are just a bit excited at the prospect of what is about to happen.
I suspect their intentions are to make the football club very successful. Working capital helps this and they seem to have plenty of it.
He's a f***ing cretin like. Always has been and on every topic, quite remarkable really.
And we slaughter mags for their levels of delusion![]()
Hopefully the poster you are referring to, holds his breath, permanently.I'm sure the board will be holding it's breath awaiting your judgement![]()
Wasn’t stavely seen at the match? That ended well. It's totally different. They get 'nearly' taken over every year man and their fans buy into it every single time. We've had 1 takeover announced in the papers which was Stewart Donald and now we have a very close one where the people named are seen at the match. Think about why we are excited and why they are delusional....

Never even knew the Barnsley owner was richer than abromovich
Oh well.. Clearly we'll do the same.. Apparently
Those figures will have been impacted by the free ticket scheme, we used to sell out under Reid and don’t believe there were many free tickets around then.If the quality of the players were top draw players of course we'd fill the ground, if Newcastle can sell out at £27 per fan, we can, after all we all live in NE england not exactly renowned for high wages. Plenty of people would travel from further afield if we had a successful team.
Nothing wrong with optimism but some of the comments are becoming increasingly magesque.
At present we are a league 1 club with a league 1 squad, a negative cowardly manager and owners without much capital to take us any further beyond.
Now if these ‘potential’ new owners are rubber stamped and make their intentions clear as to how they want us competing with the big boys then I’ll be delighted but not until.

Following a club is about dreaming but there’s a difference between dreaming and delusion and I feel quite a few have slipped into the latter. No problem with that, I’m a dreamer, fuck it.
We won't spend though.. Other rich clubs in similar positions proves it.Are we rich yet?![]()
