Just like we never get the tourists to come to the air show?

Or the way we didn’t get them to come to the tall ships ?

Do you think hundreds of thousands of people flocked to Ripon before they built Lightwater Valley?

Ive no idea if there’s even a scrap of truth in the idea of them building a theme park here but why write it off like that?
You forgot the concerts mate

So that makes two reports of trade deal being ratified or trade deal being blocked by congress, you’re actually saying it won’t happen for definite where in fact unless you know more than trump and boris then you don’t know what will happen like the rest of us. Just like this takeover of ours and I’m the happiest I’ve been for years about our football club no one knows until it happens so there’s really no point on speculating and bringing brexit into it.
The lets wait and see what happens line. Put it this way if i was a professional betting man and just looking at the risk management aspect of the bet I would bet on SAFC being a much bigger success than the UK in there respective fields of financial stability-and by that i obviously mean the UK unfortunately being a massive failure on international trade agreements and SAFC having a very healthy and sustainable future in the premier league. Looking at the men behind SAFC and the men behind Brexit is one of the indicators of probable outcome.

OK so it's a guesstimate, fair enough!!

If we haven't made a profit this year then the idea the owners have sorted out the cost base is wildly wrong

You're right it's not publicly verifiable (yet) but with that level of icnome and the cost-cutting that's gone on there's no way we are loss-making last season

The US Congress has the control and statutory power under The US Constitution to block and amend any treaty, agreement. It is “Opposition to Trump” controlled by The Democratic Party and has. PUBLICLY AND FORMALLY ANNOUNCED its policy with regard to any Trade Agreement negotiated ratification depending upon “The Irish Border arrangement” and a No Deal scenario. This has been widely reported over the past weeks, I picked it up first of all in a Radio News report which featured the interview with the Congressional leader of The Democrats - so what I am saying is it doesn’t matter what agreement is reached by the 2 leaders, or their negotiating teams, it has to be ratified by BOTH THE CONGRESS and SENATE Houses before it can be enacted and the Leader of The Congress has PUBLICLY stated that depending upon the outcome of BREXIT, they will block any agreement.
Pelosi is a gobshite loon …

have tou seen interest rates lately? if they deliver superior risk adjusted returns from this investment, more people will gove them money to manage.
sd could have made his profot far more easily as well like..

You could easily get 2% on large volumes of cash. 9 billion returns 180 million a year. No way would we make anyone 180 million a year. Even just 1 billion at 2% gets you 20 million and we'd struggle to make that sort of money for years.

if ellis knew them..why didnt he just you know, sell the club to them when thete was a few quid in it for him?
ellis worked in asia didnt he? and at different firms to these guys?

Now that answer to the question I posed initially would have been canny rather than stating they weren’t involved with hedge funds because they are or have been.

If you're looking for a Sunderland/Newcastle comparison, us being around 8 times cheaper might be why we're an attractive proposition.

Oh, and their HMRC investigation.

Have to agree, as an investment SAFC is by far an away the most attractive out there, maybe Leeds was a few year ago.
