No it wasn't a good performance and I think we can all agree on that.....but its early days with a few new players. Ozturk again looked good tonight with some towering defensive headers. Rochdale played well tonight but think they ran themselves ragged, as a lot of teams will. It will come, but in the meantime sometimes you have to win ugly.

The league is not as strong as last year and I think we will go up as champions. We will hit the top after 7 games and stay there!! HWTL.

Exactly mate. People are more expecting us to be blowing teams away but we have no right to be doing that. We've seen teams generally raise their game against us and the majority of our players are of this level. So what if we're relying McGeady, other teams have relied on their best player to win them games since football has been around.

Which new players exactly is it early days for? There's only two in the 11 today that are new, neither of which are the problems.
 
Decent win that. Wasn't a great performance mind, but improved in the second half. Can't get away with Power and Leadbitter in the middle. The way we set up doesn't help them but one of them seems to close down constantly with no one else in the team doing it and we end up getting overran in the middle. Happened most of last season as well.

Thought that Grigg looked decent for once when he came on. Did well in the build up for the winner. Hopefully he can put a bit more effort in and improve.

You could say that about any team in this league or any other. If your best player(s) don't perform then it's unlikely to be a particularly sparkling performance.

I’m with you, I’ll stay optimistic rather than realistic until the results tell me otherwise.
