The point I made was that it’s not just knives. I carry a knife in the car all the time but it’s for a genuine reason. The other difference is that I have no desire to stick it in anyone’s chest. I have screwdrivers, sometimes bullets or shotgun cartridges but again I have no desire to use them on people. I drink out of bottles and glasses in pubs but I have no wish to stick it in someone’s neck.
There more than knives inflicting wounds but it’s the person and their reasons is more of a worry. People will find ways of hurting each other if you increase the sentence for say knives.

For me personally, anyone who uses any implement, beit a screwdriver, knife, hammer, table or even a car as we have seen all too clearly in Reading today, to inflict harm on anyone goes away for a minimum (No parole) 10 years in the harshest of environments. Any one who kills some one, its life and that means life. The consensus as to bringing back Hanging for a capital offence is around , I think it was 86% of the population surveyed, is gathering pace. Yes, a minority will be innocent, but the majority will be guilty.

There must be a serious argument for it. Take exhibit A, femail aged 35, addicted to alcohol and drugs, has had 8 children all of which have been take away and placed under care orders. She's pregnant again, why should this be allowed, the human rights of society and an unfertilised egg should come before her rights to keep producing kids with no f***ing chance in life

Believe it or not, I know a situation like that. Our friends adopted two girls - same mother, different partners - who'd had all her kids taken from her. I think she's had 5. One of the kids has under-developed tubes as she was necking a bottle of vodka a day.
I'd have sterilised this "person" a long f***ing time ago as she clearly can't keep her legs shut and evidently whoever she's with can't be arsed finishing on her tits, or spending their booze money on condoms. Probably both

Brings Karen Matthews to mind, 7 kids to 6 dads. The fuckwits in the extended family and neighbourhood referred incorrectly to two of her children as the twins, because they had the same father.

I honestly think if you don’t stay on at school college or get a job you should do 2 years national service from 16 to 18 This should last till you’re 25 so if you drop out of school or lose your job before you’re 25 you will still do your 2 years national service.
I know some will still end up in colly for 2 year but I think the numbers of lads and lasses who lose their way at 16-18 will drop drastically. Some may even stay in the forces. It will at least make the school kids think ahead regarding education. And it would also give the education authority a big invisible stick to beat the kids with (fuck up and you’re out).
There is no punishment whatsoever these days. Kids fuck about at school they end up playing footie and abseiling all day at our expense. They turn to crime and the punishment is as soft.
