T20 Blast Crowds

Yeah maybe. I was just pointing out that there is no men’s cricket on today at all that is being missed
I know, but I'm just saying that the blast is condensed in to a few weeks in the season, so imo there should be a televised game every day. I don't know if that's down to Sky or the ECB?

Decided to look it up

2019 games announced so far (up to QF stage) 26
2018 games on Sky (up to QF stage) 29

Assumes I can count.
Not really that different

Proves what people on here have been saying - less T20 games on this season than previous years.
All I am saying is what is 6 games when you take into account how many cricket games are shown.

I have accepted the point that some women’s games have replaced the odd men’s games but I am making the point the amount is soo small and there has still been loads of games to watch as proven by the poster above.

One is too many.

It’s like Sky showing an Under 15 Academy football game over a Premier League game. Similar crowds and similar viewing figures.

Yeah, it’s hardly a massive difference tho.

No, but how many games have been overlooked for women’s cricket.......? More than 3, meaning we would and should have seen more this year - which is geneally the way cricket on telly is going we are told: more and more, year on year.

I’d love to see the true viewing figures.

That’s a different point obviously

You think one is too many, I think as long as a very low percentage don’t see it as a big issue, if the percentage gets higher would see your point more, think we need to agree to disagree!

Purely down to personal opinion isn’t it, plenty people on Social Media in the link I supplied and elsewhere think it’s a big problem that is becoming worse.

Yeah of course of it, and totally take the point, people mostly men, don’t want to watch it including me, I would much rather watch a men’s game of course I would, but we have to be realistic, its a changing world and other channels and organisations other than Sky have increased women’s sport coverage, so think unfair to put the blame purely on them.

It’s about getting the right balance, but still promoting the women’s game, which at the moment Sky are not doing too bad.

It’s that becoming worse debate, that I do see and agree with you, if it becomes worse than it is at the moment then of course as a men’s cricket fan I would be pissed off, but honestly don’t think just three!, less game is a big issue.

But of course there has to be a point, if the women’s game gets too much coverage at the expense of the men’s games then I would change opinion and agree with you.

That’s happening now. That’s what this was all about when I posted the link to the Sky Cricket Twitter.

That's a matter of opinion mate surely?

At the moment I think Sky have the balance right, but would not want much more women's cricket and the expense of men's game!

We agree on that one!

They have about 16 channels these days, they could easily televise both.

Maybe, I don’t know the exact budget, or circumstances, but I am pretty sure for my sky subscription that I get fanastic detailed and professional coverage of the four sports I mainly watch, football, cricket, golf and darts and have no complaints whatsoever of the sports coverage I get.

The cricket coverage is exceptional imo, has been for years and was excellent coverage of the World Cup.

But like you said earlier that just my personal opinion.

Attendances way down at Yorkshire unfortunately thanks to the poor performances. Lot of floating supporters just can't be arsed watching us get stuffed very game. Least we know they're not just there for the shit booze and Sweet Caroline anyway.

I’m determined that one of these days I’ll get you to actually agree with something I say ;)

I’ve got all the Sky channels, without having to pay the shithouses a penny. They could do so much better than they do now however. Vast majority of Sky’s schedule is jam-packed with repeats.
