T20 Blast Crowds

I haven’t missed any important cricket that I wanted to watch that women’s cricket has replaced.

I may be wrong and I have not done any homework but the only thing I may have missed is the odd T20 league game.

And there has been loads of others to watch imo, more than enough

Oh so it’s all about you is it? You haven’t missed any cricket so nothing else matters?!

What about the supporters of the counties who’ve had games not televised due to the women’s games? Hundreds of thousands of viewers neglected over the 6 women and a dog who are interested in women’s cricket.

You’ve also missed the point - you actually go on to concede that T20 league games have been overlooked in favour of women’s games so what the fuck are you actually responding for?

Not sure why you need to have such a aggressive manner ( which seems to be happening quite frequently).

However maybe I did not make me self clear, for a netural like me there is loads of cricket to watch and the odd run of the mill game that I can’t see because of women’s cricket does not bother me.

However of course if I was a fan of a team who I could see because of it I would be more concerned so of course I see your point on that one.

In general there is more men’s cricket to watch on tv than ever before and more women’s cricket on tv has not really changed that, so unless you a fan of a team who may have had a game at the same time don’t see the big issue.

100 for Banton.

Really fancy our chances of winning the T20 World Cup this time round. We have some serious power and depth in the batting and Archer now on-board in the bowling department.

No aggression whatsoever, but I find it frustrating that you constantly miss the point.

You’ve done it again in your last paragraph. You don’t see the big issue - yet you don’t support county cricket. So you’ll never see the issue will you?

Only last season there was a Blast game televised practically every night during the tournament. This year there have already been half a dozen games overlooked at the expense of women’s cricket.

Stop commenting on things that you know nothing about or have no interest in - what is your fascination with preaching to everyone about county cricket when you openly admit to not giving a shite about it?

Never said I didn’t give a shite about it just that I don’t support a particular team!

I see the point you making if a person supports a team that has missed a game televised becuase of a women’s game already said that in previous post.

However in general there is loads and loads of games to watch on sky, absolutely loads.

So don’t see the issue about promoting the women’s game and still showing loads of men’s cricket on sky.

Think there is room for both and sky are doing a good job of doing that imo.

I mean what is 6 games as a percentage of all the games shown very low I would suspect

It’s fine that you disagree just putting my opinion across.

The point is, there IS room for all - BUT, Sky are choosing one over the other. Proving that in their world there isn’t.

There are fewer T20 Blast games on telly this year than last, there is more women’s cricket on this year than last. It really is as simple as that.

Keep ignoring that if you want, but that’s what the lads on here are getting at and that’s what the mass majority of people on social media are getting at.

You, like so often before, seem to be the only one that either can’t see it, or doesn’t want to see it.

As I said earlier not on social media so can’t comment on that point.

They may be slightly fewer than last year, but imo there is loads to watch loads and loads and people are hardly missing out, you yourself have mentioned just 6 games!

I mean what is that in the bigger scheme of things?

I do find it odd Sky are criticised after all they have done for cricket in this country and the fanastic coverage they have provided year after year for both domestic and international cricket, but guess people just like to twist about something.

Guess we will have to add this to our long list of disagreeing with each other over matters of cricket!

Which is absolutely fine!

An interesting bit from the written briefing that new DCCC steward Young Trundler brought back today was an 'expected' attendance of 5000 for today's match.

Have to say I'm get tired of the womens sport being shoved down our throats, I have no issue with it being on and do support womens sports but it should not be at the expense of a higher standard not being shown and it's happened a lot this year. The agenda to show women's sports over mens for equality purposes is generally completely against what the consumer wants as well, if they put the games on side by side then that at least gives people the choice but that just doesn't happen.

I do agree with that point to a certain extent, although I have not watched any at all, so it’s clealy avoidable if you want.

And I disagree it has replaced men’s sport quite a lot?

In depends what you would describe as quite a lot?

I am not interested in women’s sport it in the slightest so I am one on the consumers you talking about, however with my sky subscription I am able to watch loads of fanastic sports coverage have done for years including loads of cricket, so honestly don’t see it as such a massive issue as some are making out, as my enjoyment of men’s sport this year as been exactly the same.

I have not watched any women’s sport whatsoever and at the same time to increase in their coverage, has not spoilt my enjoyment of men’s sport whatsoever.

I’m leading to believe you’re just a troll pal, there have been plenty of examples given which prove the point - yet STILL you don’t want to/won’t accept it.

Where do you get off?

Not sure why you think soo, and don’t know what you mean where do I get off.

You yourself have said 6 games had been shown of women’s cricket that men’s could of been seen.

All I am saying is what is 6 games when you take into account how many cricket games are shown.

I really have no idea of how many men’s games of cricket are shown by sky over a season,

Why is such a small amount such a issue?

I have accepted the point that some women’s games have replaced the odd men’s games but I am making the point the amount is soo small and there has still been loads of games to watch as proven by the poster above.

So really not sure why you seem to not accept a fair enough point even though it’s diffrent from your view.
You said in a previous post it’s already replaced a half dozen games this season as if that is a massive amount.

It really isn’t imo.
I would totally take your point if it had replaced loads of men’s games or if the numbers of men’s games had greatly reduced but it hasn’t.

And that is the point for me, I get it you don’t agree.

I just try to put a opinion across however it seems because I sometimes disagree with a lot of your views, you are becoming quite unpleasant to debate with.
