T20 Blast Crowds

Because we are trying to get the game to a wider audience and the best way is terrestrial tv.
Which is becoming less and less true as time passes. I never watch terrestrial it's all streaming, Netflix and Prime and I watch more cricket on the County streams than elsewhere.

It seems Channel5 shows cricket highlights right now but I never think of watching it.

Times change and you can rarely go back to the past.

So I'm a bit doubtful of The Hundred on BBC.

Fair enough. But it's still normal telly that can get the most viewing figures.

There's no way the Wimbledon final would get 9 million if it was on Amazon. Casual fans need to have it laid on a plate via one click of a remote.

I was expecting tonight’s t20 blast game to be on sky, but they’ve got women’s cricket on again. Getting beyond a joke!
Just thinking that myself. There should be T20 Blast game on every night. Who the fuck wants to watch women's cricket?

You’re not alone fellas:

Not one response praising the choice.

Have the T20 on SKY and free-to-air every night. Plenty of games. 3 on a Sat/Sun.

The perfect example of 'It's not how you play, it's who you play for'.
Made a career from bowling 76mph full tosses out the back of his hand.
Love it how he is a rabbit but decided he is a better batter than Gareth Batty and Imran Tahir

Just came on here to whinge about this. They must show as many women's games as men's, and does anyone give a fuck? Best thing they could do is make that shitty 'one hundred' women's cricket. You won't have to suffer the extra 40 balls and it'll put women's cricket in the spot light where they want it.

Surely Sky will respond to viewing figures and cut out this women's lark

Must admit have not watched women’s cricket, there is more than enough sport to watch nowadays, don’t understand people twisting about it though.

It’s not as if we missing any important men’s cricket becuase of it, it’s just extra rather than replacing, so not sure what the problem is?

I'm sure in previous seasons there has been a lot more mens matches on.
I've no problem with women's cricket, I sometimes watch the internationals. I just feel this is being forced on us for political correctness reasons.
When the women's marches attract the same interest as the men's, then show them

I think perhaps you should’ve done your homework before posting this.

Sky have quite consistently aired women’s T20 over men’s T20 in recent weeks.

So we absolutely are missing important men’s cricket because of it.

To delve a little further - people like you mock me when I talk of agendas, yet there’s only two ways to describe the current tactic of showing women’s cricket ahead of men’s cricket by Sky at present.

1 - it’s an agenda
2 - it costs them fuckall to cover it as opposed to the men’s game and they’re putting cost ahead of viewing figures.

Probably number 2 in fairness, but the way Sky have dressed it up on social media has been embarrassing.

I haven’t missed any important cricket that I wanted to watch that women’s cricket has replaced.

I may be wrong and I have not done any homework but the only thing I may have missed is the odd T20 league game.

And there has been loads of others to watch imo, more than enough

And after all according to some is not even proper cricket!!

Although of course I agree with you there is a little bit of agenda to show more women’s sport, but tbf to sky it’s not exclusive to them as the BBC also seem to be going that way.

I haven’t seen and am not on social media to address you other point

I've found cricket adverts to be crap in general lately. There's the Ashes one with Bumble, that they haven't even bothered to update to give the starting date of the 2nd test and that's been about it. Have Sky lost interest?
