Is it pricey for vr stuff
No mate,

11 quid

great fun, although I just switched to the biggest ball size :lol:
Part of me feels like they should just put the One Day team out at Lords, triumphant return, bit of fun
They have already tried that mate ;)

I’m sorry but the game changed full circle with the ball change first innings it took around 150 runs off our lead going into their second innings..!!

Biggest turnaround was losing Anderson.

So England were down to 4 bowlers (really 2.5 as Stokes only turned up for one innings, and Moeen was a disaster).

Australia got their fair share of luck but they made the most of it.

Despite the disappointing yet inevitable England batting collapse and an important first test loss, can I just say to everyone on this thread, it's been a pleasure sharing and debating 5 wonderful days of Test match cricket. I've been involved in a few cricket threads on this website but none as much as I have as this one. It's been an entertaining and enlightening experience and despite a few disagreements of opinions, it's all been good natured without the bile and petty name calling of PF.

Here's to another 5 weeks or so of more of the same (on here as hopefully the cricket will improve ;) )

How much you get headset and stuff for looks fun like even though id be useless

Our seam bowling attack selected for this game was so one dimensional, it was like a flashback to the last Ashes series down under. 4 right armers who bowl mid 80ish. Leaving a left armer and a 90mph+ player watching.

Our spinner has about as much control of a cricket ball as Donald Love has of a football, and when you’re already your star bowler down that just makes that issue even worse.

Add in the fact our batting line up is picked based on white ball form, and it’s little wonder we’ve lost that so badly.

However on the flip side if you want to be ultra optimistic, we’ve lost that due to the outstanding performances of someone who will go down as one of the all time batting greats. Just need to work out a plan to get him out!

The cricket forum is by far the most gentlemanly forum on this site. Stands to reason really.

To be fair, Broad, Jimmy and Woakes is usually a pretty lethal attack in England. That said I think I'd play Archer, Curran and Leach at Lords. As you say we need a plan to get Smith out

Blame the ECB for that

The entire focus of the ECB for the last five years has been to win the world Cup and launch the 100 to get more new fans into the game. So much so the test team has suffered badly and struggled against teams like the West Indies and Ireland. I don't know why, with all the money in their back pockets, they couldn't employ a separate test coach who could focus all his efforts building a team for this format.

Because that's common sense, something the ECB are not only bereft of it, but utterly terrified of it.

Yeah it’s not the fault of our players adapting themselves or showing the application required or the lack of talent available.

Surprise surprise it’s the ECB’s fault yet again!

Totallly to blame for Roy’s brain freeze!

We won't get 200, in fact we may not get 150. Our lot collapse at the slightest sign of pressure. We've got too many flaky batsmen to get anywhere near 300 on this pitch in a fourth innings. Only Rain will save them now.
Today was entirely predicable with the white ball players that are the dominant part of our team/squad, with most of them totally unsuited to digging deep and playing a long, demanding innings. I hope we don't get beat 5-0 and I'm hoping the weather due to the timing of the series may prevent this. Our batting is far too flaky and reckless.

We were undone by one great batsman and superior bowling. It feels a bit hopeless right now, but England have a long record of coming back from heavy defeats. Of course, Archer must play in the next test, if fit, and we'll have to replace Moeen, somehow.
