Yet go back 5 years or so and the white ball was a shambles. It's a fine line and we cant seem to yet it right. Seems to be one or the other.

Also, are the kids coming through just focused on white ball because of the money in the ipl etc.
 
Well this test has turned depressing since Saturday evening, we know the batting isn't good enough, losing Anderson was a massive blow but we had them 122-8 and had 90 run lead anyway.
this test has been lost mainly down to roots captaincy and ali 's shocking display with the ball + Steve Smith.
I would tear this team up and start again for the next test,
no denly, no ali, no woakes (if pitch is flat), no Bairstow (unless he plays a great knock here), no Anderson
Bring in leach, balance or foakes for bairstow, stone, archer, Crawley or sidly?
Drop Roy to 4

That was a very close one that to be fair I’d have probably called that one as where it hit on the glove you would still feel a difference to it hitting the actually hand part and would feel like a propper whack in the skin

But this has been awful batting from England good bowling but terrible from England
