hopefully turn it around but I've had concerns for a long time about the state of red ball cricket in this country. When 33yr old Denly is in the side, I think it's more than a justifiable concern & I don't see things improving in terms of talent coming through as the game isn't tailored towards red ball cricket anymore in England.

Spot on, red ball cricket should still be the main focus in world cricket

While your general point is a fair one Chris Rogers and Mike Hussey disprove the argument about blooding newcomers at that age...

To be fair England yet Australia into this game on the first day and their constant shit batting against disciplined bowling.

They're a different breed to Denly. We've got very little coming through. We've had to take Archer from the WI as well as our new star. Red ball cricket in this country is in massive decline. God forbid once Broad and Anderson retire.

This is the poorest team in a while. Seems like we cant have a good test and one day team at the same time
