Plusses
Potts ,Darcy ,Steel ,Rimmingtons last over and Burnhams catching and fielding
Minuses
Lees dropped catch and I shouldn’t say it have such a good win but this is another format in which Clark is an under achiever

Good stuff on a rotten night to be fair

Shame about the weather like, would have surely added a canny few more on had it been clear.

I was going to head down but didn’t bother as it chucked down here at 5.30/6 and looked manky looking over that way from my bedroom window, and the forecast looked shite.

Bit gutted I didn’t now but great to get a win to start it

Estimated crowd size?
Looked a decent crowd considering the weather. As we know there are contributors to this thread who would have been there if the forecast had been good and no doubt there are many other who decided on the day not to go.

If I didn’t live as close as I do and could get a lift I would have been put off. Still amazed we got the full 40 overs given the dark clouds overhead for the whole game

I thought Pottsy bowled superbly tonight and Short looks a class act.
Steel looked a bit rusty but he hasn't played first team cricket since the end of April so hes got an excuse.

Good crowd considering the BBC and The Met Office buggered it up again with their guess work and when I got back home tonight the famous cat next door said,'I told you at 5 o'clock it was going to stop dry!'

Overall a good night and a good win for the lads.

The Durham CCC website going down, including the bit that gives you a report on weather and ground conditions was piss poor.

The weather was absolutely fine last night. It was reasonably warm and even though it may have looked like rain, it held off all evening.
Very good crowd and a tight game which went to the last couple of balls which is what you want really.
Only thing I didn’t understand was Potts only bowling 3 overs ?

Very frustrating indeed. The club really need to communicate better, plenty have said the same in previous years. I'm usually praising the club as I know they have a tough job to get folk in, but last night they never helped themselves. Even having to follow the first innings on the opposition's twitter feed is a tad poor as well. Hopefully better Comms for the next game

Thought it was a fantastic night - took the little one along and she absolutely loved it. Been a great week with her, as she was engrossed at the Cup final and now at the Durham game, so hopefully I can finally get her into sport that I love. The signing session at the end was the icing on the cake, she loved going on the pitch and seeing the World Cup and Ben Stokes who she’d seen on Sunday playing for England. Wasn’t too bothered about the other players understandably as she hadn’t heard of them, but there’s time for that, but she loved doing gymnastics on the grass. Fantastic night and a big shout out to the club making it so accessible for the little ones on the back of Sunday.

I think mine enjoys the cricket more than the football to be honest.
