GOLDENOLDIE
Midfield
No service, no goals. The fault lay with Leadbitter, Robson and Gooch, all of whom were far too deep.
So apart from that we were class ?

The ref was shite mind. Free kicks given against us so soft.
....and still get zero service..
Is he youngun we got from Chelsea?
Grigg is a striker who thrives off the right service. First half there wasn't any.Not having it mate. They don't offer enough themselves. They don't seem to have any drive or tenacity.
We created nowt.Grigg is a striker who thrives off the right service. First half there wasn't any.
It's a weak excuse imo. Were they running into space? Were they creating opportunities and putting the defence under pressure?

He'll be on the Portuguese mega bus back to his hotel now.
They know that no service is coming, and if you think Wyke is going to create his own opportunities..you'll be waiting a long time. That is not his or Grigg's game. You're not going to get a world beater creating things up front by himself. Be realistic. It's a weak excuse imo. Were they running into space? I'll be astonished if he doesn't find someone he knows. He’s 10 minutes walk away but has to pass a number of bars .... could take hours

Looks like same old as last season. We created nowt.
You’re only judging him off half a season with us then? He’s shown plenty in his career to suggest he’ll do alright with the right service at this level.Grigg has shown little so far to suggest he's anything but a plodder. He reminds me of Danny Graham.

As did McGeough, got to be ahead of Leadbetter. Not a fan of the set up at all. The strikers looked ill positioned and often dragged to the wings as a consequence. The lads at the back and Burge in goal did well, but it’s clear they are still learning a new system. Big gaps both in front and behind the wingbacks and a light midfield incapable of dominating proceedings. If we are gonna play 3 at the back then I’d much rather see 3-2-2-2-1 with inside forwards there (McGeady and Watmore/McGuire).
Yes it’s a friendly, but if this is the time to form the tactics then I think we have to address how open we look. Kimpioka, Willis and Burge did well
Why notRoss won’t see Christmas at SAFC.
