Nowt he could do about it. The lad he threw it to imediatelly called the 6 without waiting for the umpires or a TV check, which sums up the New Zealand ethos. They are serious competitors and want to win, but they play the game by the book and are sportsmen at heart. They would rather lose than cheat and that's what makes them different to their neighbours.

I have a lot of time for their cricket team in particular.

I have never, ever felt nerves like that today. Never. Old Trafford cup semi final shoot out, play off finals, games against the mags.....none come close.

What a game, what a side. Unbelievable drama, an unbelievable win

Just another thought. The 4 over throws that Stokes got was touch and go for a run out if he hadn't had hit it. It was a cracking throw, looked like it was going to the keeper right next to the stumps!

Hit Stokes bat as he was crossing the crease so no way would he have been out. As you say decent throw though and bet he wishes he had just pocketed it as he would now be a world champion.

Me dad was leaving when buttler got out, changed his mind, put his shoes on and was leaving again at the next wicket, then sat in the kitchen with me mam until the final over, then came back and sat with me and my son to watch the super overs.

I've been round and apologised to the neighbours for the shouting from him when we won

Bristol C banging down the door for the last half hour in 2008 on a par for me but apart from that. Difficult to compare as this is massive but I was there with me dad that day and you can't beat being there imo

Watched this in a fishing village in Greece. Just me all day in the bar on me tablet rackin up the bar bill - then the last half hour and me going crackas, then I had to explain cricket to all the waiters. They went fuckin mad at the end.

Bar bill was 70 euro.
