I love the tennis and the scoring system is brilliant. Loads of examples where the person who won the most games lost, but that is the beauty of the sport.
Its a bit like the Tories winning loads of elections on 30 odd percent of the vote!!

Hmm know what you mean tbh. An outright win either in "normal time" or the super over would have been conclusive but the boundaries stuff doesn't quite sit right or any tie breaker tbh. My girlfriend has never watched a cricket match til today. She likes it more than football apparently. She'd never really watched that till she met me too.

Fair enough, just doesn’t seem right that a World Cup Final will come down to that. Like I say, I’m an Englishman, I’m not some bitter Aussie.
You'd think they'd be off on a holiday but it would be canny if they could do that!

Just feel like a tie should be separated a better way than that. 50 overs each couldn’t separate them. A super over couldn’t separate them - perhaps the super over could be 5 overs each in future? Feels more of a cricketing contest.

We’ve beaten Australia, India, and New Zealand to get to the final. We bowled brilliantly in the 1st innings and Stokes gave us a massive performance to tie the game. New Zealand didn’t lose because of the boundary tie break or the overthrows but because of moments of poor cricket ie Santner ducking on the last ball and Boult stepping on the boundary. In almost every tiebreak we would have won ie Position in table, h2h and nrr. We may have tied the match but we 100% deserve our win imo.You know, this might not be popular, but I feel really uncomfortable with the manner of victory.

I've just seen the full stats and Federer won every stat and lost the match.
Sport can be cruel but when it goes your way it's amazing.
