Good kid and has a big future but is only 17? Needs to go out on loan.
another one saying 'needs', why is it so imperative?
Wayne Rooney was 16 playing in the prem.
what's your point?

I suppose the point is that generally, players aren't anywhere near the first team at 16, it's a pretty rare thing. Now that Mumba is at that level, albeit with plenty to learn, he needs to be playing competitive games to further his development. If he's good enough for our first team (and hasn't let himself down in any of his appearances) then, by default he's too good for our u23sanother one saying 'needs', why is it so imperative?

My point still remains, going out on loan that young is an exception to how most 16/17 year old are treated. Why do you think Mumba needs to be treated as an exception to the majority of 17 year olds?

I'd like to see him out on loan at a L2 team this season and see how he reacts to the weekly grind of lower league footy. If he can play central midfield amongst a league of big hairy lads trying to kick him, then he has a chance. Kicking his heels in our reserves will do him no favours
Problies in the house with a kfc
Just as an example, Liverpool are buying Harvey Elliott from Fulham and Barca have just bought the young lad from WBA. They are probably bigger prospects than Mumba. Do you think everyone at those clubs is saying 'they need to go out on loan'
well maybe because he was a first team regular at the beginning of the season
I don't have a clue, do you ?
he wasn't, he started the first two games and that was it other than a couple of cameo appearances.
He was in the first team and played games
Yeah i do. They won't go out on loan for at least a couple of years.

My point is it’s a pointless thread comparing everyone.
What’s your point?
So you're basically saying he should be treat differently to the overwhelming majority of 17 year olds in the country because he has made it to the fringes of our first team. I do understand the point but i can't agree. Out of the recent England Under 18 not one player in the squad has been out on loan yet. The top teams/acadamies in the world aren't doing it so we shouldn't be either. These young lads need to be protected and given time to develop away from senior football. Of course there's lads like Rooney who are superhuman but if Mumba was to that level, he'd be playing for us every week. He needs time. I seriously doubt many teams above the Northen premier would even want him on loan.
I didn't ask you what your point was but cheers. Thanks for asking about my point. My point is that probably more than 99% of 17 year olds don't go out on loan, so why do people think it is imperative that Mumba does?
I agree. HOWEVER mumba isn’t going to progress in our set up.
Slightly different at Man City where the standard of the academy is much higher.
He will not progress and to be fair, it may have been better for him to move on.
We are caught between a rock and a hard place.
Keep him won’t get a game, won’t progress
Loan him and he will get shit experience in a league lower which is dreadful.
Read my reply.
My mate played against him the other day and said he was shite
Said diamond is a class player though
How can lads be in front of him starting the first 2 games of last season? Did nothing wrong in them, then don’t really see him again all seasonHe's needs to go out on loan and get some experience, theres lads who are in front of him who need game time here..
Because we were short due to injuries. He wasn't first choice.well maybe because he was a first team regular at the beginning of the season
Standing about 3 people away from me with his mates.
Somebody asked him why he wasnt playing, said ask him, not me. While point at Ross.
