The stars have aligned! It’s the twice yearly day in which we agree on something. Happy Frijjmas!
If a light changes and there are still pedestrians crossing you don't have right of way to just drive through them. It's like if you turn into a side street and a pedestrian is crossing, they have right of way. Again you don't just drive through them. It's all in the highway code.
As an aside last saturday I saw the worst piece of driving, or should I say riding I think I've ever seen.
A motorbike, scrambler type, overtook me on the seaham coast road. He then came up against a 4x4 with traffic coming the other way so he couldn't overtake. He went up on the pavement and passed the 4x4 that way. I couldn't believe it

Its time to ban cycling, until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on

I think we should look at number of deaths and accidents caused by cyclists in a year and by cars and lorries. We should then ban the form of transport that kills or injures the most people.

I'm fine with this, you have a duty while cycling to anticipate these things happening which involves slowing down and riding further away from the kerb.

Can we now start taking it more seriously when motor vehicle drivers fuck up with less of the excuses please. Applying the judges logic here to other cases like this for example would make the streets safer for everyone.

At which point wankers in cars lose their shit, try to ram you off the road and kick off.

Various reasons. Health, fitness, saves transport costs, reduces net congestion
So........
Fitness
Cost
Congestion.
So you risk your life as ‘drivers are idiots’ so that one other car is off the road in the capital?
You can ride a bike anytime and anywhere in one of the ‘hundreds of lovely parks’ for fitness but choose London rush hour?

Cost..... just admit that this is the only valid reason you do it please. Please for once admit something and I think you will gain respect.

You’re and no.
Got ya. I always know when I get you scruffman.
Did you shower this morning after your commute. Grime won’t crack itself.
How much you saving each month on your bike?

What a strange man you are. Like a poor mans noel edmunds on crack. f***ing got ya, have a word with yourself.

I haven’t been on my bike today.

I can travel to work for free so cycling doesn’t save me any money, there’s your cost argument blown out of the water.

No I can't ride my bike anytime anywhere as I have commitments elsewhere. Its an opportunity to get 60-90m of exercise in what would otherwise be dead time spent commuting. Which also costs money. This really isn't a difficult concept. If everyone thought the same there'd be no need for cars on the London roads at all.

I don’t think you wind people up as much as bore them.

That was another time you tried to be clever and failed, just one of life's habits for you though.

Imagine it could be quicker for many.

I can cycle into Newcastle for a meeting quicker than public transport or the car. (sometimes car will be quicker but many many times it isn't and parking is shite and expensive)

Quicker for me into Newcastle.....25/30 mins each way.

I'm probably saving £800 a year as opposed to using public transport.......you can probably double saving if I was using the car.

I'll hoy another reason in for me and that is, I've replaced my car and do not want the shit knocking out of it in the works car park. My old one took a battering and not one person held their hand up as responsible for any damage at any time.
