The Mags have beaten us again

Ashley is a bit of a twat but he isn't the terrible owner they think he is

They will soon learn that its very hard to progress even with someone else in charge
Agreed. I spoke to a mag at work yesterday who was complaining about Ashley being a robbing bastard as his season ticket had increased by £120.

I digged a bit deeper and discovered that he had been on the bond scheme and the price rise was vs the price he paid in 2009!

And two successful trips back which were probably 2 of the 3 most enjoyable seasons for you under his ownership

They were indeed. Doesn't mean its anything to thank him for. Are Sunderland grateful to Short and Grayson and Coleman for landing them in league one which was the season you won the most games since your promotion?

It's bonkers. They have an owner who has given them managers they wanted and now have Rafa who they adore. He pumps money into the club which gets spunked away on shite by their hero worshipped managers and they get nowhere. Ashley then sells these players for f***ing silly money and the roundabout starts again.

Not sure why they continually blame him. Maybe they need to look at the f***ing Messiahs they keep getting in and the teams they build for the reason they are getting nowhere.

Much like us with Short, he put the money in (till it was fucked) and it was our incapable managers that spunked it on shite and took us where we are now.

Strange how protests stopped when they started winning a few games.

Apart from the time they finished 10th under Pardew and had a mass walk out. 10th place was deemed not good enough.

Aston Villa spent more than us that season.

And were a gnat's whisker away from starting next season on -9 points for breaking FFP. Like you, and like us under Keane, they've spent the whole financial benefit of being in the PL in getting there in the first place. They can now retrench with lower investment to stabilise things (you under Ashley), or carry on the same with ever-increasing debt (us under Drumaville/Short). Trust me, your way is better.

Going no where? Where do you think yous should be aiming for?

Just trying to be as good as possible, showing ambition, being more dynamic when it comes to transfer dealings.
Everything in the way the club operates is done at a bare minimum. Always doing just enough to get by, and on two occasions it has backfired, and another two were very close, only surviving in game 37 one year and game 38 the next.
The one year in the PL under Ashley where he gave McClaren £80m to spend we were in the bottom 3 from August, yet didn't sack him until March. The writing was on the wall by November.

What the fuck is up with the consistent use of the word 'Rafa' in that article:lol::lol:

12 years going nowhere under Ashley. Think it's worth spinning the wheel to see where it lands.

Slim chance of it going well, but I don't see any problem with wanting change if you know the risk that said change brings with it.

So we didn’t hound him out after finishing 10th?

Yes.
He got you into 10th place in 10/11, you wanted him sacked in November of 11/12
"Get out of our club you fat geordie bastad".
He got you 10th and you wanted him sacked. Pretty clear.

Again,

When we finished 10th, at the end of the season, did we have a mass protest because it wasn’t good enough?

Take your time.
