smithys and frydays are betterThe red hut was canny when it was a "red hut" years ago but went down hill when the council moved em, picked up recently under new ownership.
Which two are you thinking ?

Home games still leaving from fountain and away from grey hen aparently
The season ahead I fearAfter trying to defend a 1-0 lead.
Good bars in the ground but if its segregation Sunderland will get a burger van with a mini fridge selling Dark fruits..On the plus side away fans get the best bogs...only a brewers fayre anywhere near the ground so drink in the town centre and its 5 mins on the metro

Any branches out there looking for a pre match pub please note the Trimmers is home fans only.
Could you maybe recommended a pre- match pub in Shields marra.
Someone on here suggested the Trimmers pub, but what with having a southern accent (not cockney!!), and what with it being home fans only, it might not be a good idea for me to set foot in
Also, what are the stewards like at the ground....fairly relaxed and easy going? Or fascists in bright coloured jackets.
Reason I ask is my flag has a rather large FTM plastered on it
He was pulling your leg mate, most in there will be Sunderland fans anyway..Could you maybe recommended a pre- match pub in Shields marra.

don't think he was being serious mate. get yourself in the trimmers and represent the lads.
stewards - hardly noticeable. Few more than usual knocking about for play off game v Warrington but even then they looked petrified of the 4 or 5 kids rattling the fences and pretending that they wanted to take on the home ends. I reckon if they question you and you just wave your fist in their direction they'll run a mile.
Longship was always Sunderland when I lived down the road.Trimmers it is then
Where will the hardcore be drinking pre-match in Hebburn then?
Any pubs in the town itself worth visiting?

think I'm going for a pint in Jarrow (I know ) before the game. One stop from Bede. Couple of pints in the Ben Lomond and then back on metro to Bede.
Next door to the police station. Prob 10 min walk from ground
Isn't Jarra Mag country?
I'll definitely do Trimmers and take it from there
Nice one, cheers.
