20,000 Mackems take over the Market Place and town drunk dry.

Yes please.

Haway Shields and Sunderland.

5-4 to Shields in a match broadcast around the world.

And prepares both sides for the new Tyne Wear derby in the big leagues.

A nicer one where pubs are neutral and respect is mutual.

In my dreams I f***ing know!

Good bars in the ground but if its segregation Sunderland will get a burger van with a mini fridge selling Dark fruits..On the plus side away fans get the best bogs...only a brewers fayre anywhere near the ground so drink in the town centre and its 5 mins on the metro

saveloy dips kills cheesey chips like

Never knew that. No more free sausage and chips in the fountain after the games then

Home games still leaving from fountain and away from grey hen aparently

Only ever do away games me mate. Done 12 last season all from Unionist club, we have got on at grey hen once or twice for early morning pickups with billy and mitch as billy lives across road.

Edit 8 games with billy sorry. 4 we did on train.

Any branches out there looking for a pre match pub please note the Trimmers is home fans only.

Could you maybe recommended a pre- match pub in Shields marra.

Someone on here suggested the Trimmers pub, but what with having a southern accent (not cockney!!), and what with it being home fans only, it might not be a good idea for me to set foot in:eek:

Also, what are the stewards like at the ground....fairly relaxed and easy going? Or fascists in bright coloured jackets.

Reason I ask is my flag has a rather large FTM plastered on it:cool:

don't think he was being serious mate. ;) get yourself in the trimmers and represent the lads.

stewards - hardly noticeable. Few more than usual knocking about for play off game v Warrington but even then they looked petrified of the 4 or 5 kids rattling the fences and pretending that they wanted to take on the home ends. I reckon if they question you and you just wave your fist in their direction they'll run a mile.

Trimmers it is then:cool:

Where will the hardcore be drinking pre-match in Hebburn then?

Any pubs in the town itself worth visiting?

think I'm going for a pint in Jarrow (I know ) before the game. One stop from Bede. Couple of pints in the Ben Lomond and then back on metro to Bede.

Isn't Jarra Mag country?

I'll definitely do Trimmers and take it from there

Next door to the police station. Prob 10 min walk from ground

Nice one, cheers.

Like you say, nearer the time I'm sure a few pubs will be mentioned where we'll go for a few beers beforehand mate.
