You read on here all the time that the mags are not lucky. Funnily enough, from the same posters that said Luton would lose form and that we’d get promoted.

It doesn’t you’re right. But with a sell out every home game in their cess pit and sponsor deals, catchment areas and incoming global attraction, it’ll be a lifetime of piss taking from them now, unless the take utter fails or they get nowhere even with a fortune thrown at them. The next decade could easily see a gap that’ll never get recovered.
Settle down man. They'll be carrying coffins round the Bigg Market and demanding he sells up within 18 months when they fail to sign Neymar, Mbappe and Kane and they realise the bloke is in it make money in the same way that almost every football club owner is

Well I am. I live in a 50/50 area and have loads of mates that are mags

Absolutely f***ing nightmare if they start signing superstars. Plus it will squeeze our support, bairns will follow them a la 92

It’s absolutely f***ing terrible news for Sunderland and it’s fans
Exactly all these ‘I don’t give a fuck’ types are either trying to put a brave face on things or are a bit thick and don’t realise the repercussions it will have for us as a club. The north east areas where it is 50-50 who are they going to support a premier league club signing top players or popping down to Sunderland to watch Tom Flanagan and Charlie Wyke

I’m not slightly arsed about this one little bit, we have our own problems to deal with

local rivalry is just about all we can live for these days. We're not going to win the league. We're not going into Europe any time soon. We're unlikely to ever win a major trophy again. So what are we playing for?

How can anyone claim they're not arsed?

Interesting one this. If the owner has ambitions to break into the top 6, then he is going to have to inject 200m - on top of the 350m he is paying for the club.

To get round ffp, he will also have to find new sponsorship and increase ticket prices. Despite all the talk of 52,000 gates, their ticketing revenue is miles behind the top six

I'm not arsed. The only time I care about them is derby day

Jammy twats always land on their feet.

They won't dislodge spurs man utd city arsenal Chelsea Liverpool though.

Logging off social media and never going to Newcastle, aye we crap but least I knew they were always crap as well and now they gonna be throwing millions and more than likely do a Man City now
Will they fuck. The football landscape is so different now. Will take a long time before players choose to get their over the ‘big 6’.

Exactly - they already have maximsed their ticket and merchandise revenue (unless they start selling gravy tops in Abu Dhabi) so it will be sponsorship money only assuming they don't try and circumnavigate FFP rules and pump money in. But again, why would they pump loads of their own money in for no return?
