Game of Thrones season 8

It’s not that she’s turned but the fact they spent 7 seasons making her out to be a saint then literally in the space of an episode she becomes an absolute nutcase just to meet an arbitrary deadline they themselves set for finishing the series.
She spent 7 seasons being a saintly goddess, I'm thinking that maybe something in westros air that doesn't agree with her. If she'd stuck to slavers bay and never sailed west the night king would be angrily shaking his fist at the wall while jon would be prime minister in the newly found democratic United States of westros

Breaker of chains, mother of dragons chained up her dragons cos one child got burned a few seasons ago such was her desire to protect the downtrodden

Edit: anyone think the mountain looked like varys?

I don't get people saying Danys arc is rushed. Shes clearly been becoming more and more unhinged since getting to Westeros. I think what happened was at the moment of victory, she realised she'd never truly be an accepted ruler in kings landing, and all the hardship leading her to that point final took its toll.

I think episode 6 will still have some unexpected turns. I feel it will be very Bran heavy.

That’s the funniest thing about this season Jon is the most pointless character.

He’s the reason the night king got past the wall, had no impact on the battle and his lineage is just a plot device.

It's been foreshadowed for ages that she would crack up because it's in her blood, Varys way back in I think series 1 tried to have her killed, they could have done it better if there was more episodes as it was a bit rushed but it was hardly out of the blue.

My problem with the episode is just how stupid they've made Tyrion, up until series 4 he was the best character in the show.

Losing her two closests personal advisors die right in front of her
Tyrion dropping the ball and letting her secret slip (she probably knew about Jamie being released as well)
Varis turning on her
No love from the North for helping save them

All that and having her neph-boyfriend get all “nah pet” on her and blab to his sisters

the poor lass has had a right time of it recently!

He was well loved for his lighthearted moments. His caracter somewhat personified the show. Fantasy, but drenched with some very relatable humanistic aspects. As weve gotten towards the pointy end that's become less and less. But that was to be expected. People can blame to shorten runs, but it is mainly down to getting into the business end of the piece.

I'm not sure how much more 'fleshed out' it could have actually gotten.
